Abstract
Pada dasarnya tidak semua wilayah di Indonesia dapat hidup berdampingan dengan perbedaan latar belakang agama, khusunya wilayah-wilayah yang berada di pedalaman ataupun pinggiran. Daerah Kampung Kancana ini merupakan daerah yang terdapat diwilayah pedesaan yang lingkupnyan hanya mempunyai satu agama, akan tetapi masyarakat didalamnya dapat hidup berdampingan dengan adanya perbedaan latar belakang agama dari waktu ke waktu. Keindahan toleransi di Dusun Kancana ini merukapan sebuah keunikan yang dalam kehidupan beragama masyarakat desa. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, peneliti berusaha menggali mengenai proses perkembangan gaya hidup beragama pada masyarakat multikultural tersebut, kemudian apa saja faktor-faktor yang memperngaruhi terjadinya fenomena gaya hidup beragamanya serta pola hubungan sosial gaya hidup beragama pada masyarakat. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus dengan metode deskriptif, dengan subjek penelitian mantan masyarakat Dusun Kancana, pemuka agama Islam, Kristen, katolik dan penghayat, tokoh masyarakat atau pemerintahan. Hasil dari penelitian ditemukan bahwa proses perkembangan gaya hidup beragamanya masyarakat hidup berdampingan bermula dengan mayoritas agama nenek moyang yaitu agama Jawa Sunda dan Islam sebagai minoritas. Faktor yang mempengaruhi gaya hidup beragama pada masyarakat yaitu dari pengalaman, emosi, minat, keluarga, institusi dan kelompok masyarakat. Pola hubungan sosial yang terjadi yaitu dimana masyarakat menganggap bahwa semua agama baik, memanusiakan manusia adalah hal yang harus dijunjung tinggi. Kata Kunci : Gaya Hidup Beragama, Hubungan Sosial, Multikultural THE PHENOMENON OF RELIGIOUS LIFESTYLE IN MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITIES (Case Study In The Community Of Kancana Girang Village, Gunung Aci Village, Subang Sub-District, Kuningan District) Nugi Rizki Pritantia Pendidikan Sosiologi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia nugirizkip@upi.edu ABSTRACT Basically, not all regions in Indonesia can coexist with different religious backgrounds, especially areas that are in the interior or the outskirts. This Kancana Village area is an area located in a rural area whose scope only has one religion, but the people in it can live side by side with different religious backgrounds from time to time. The beauty of tolerance in Kancana Hamlet is a unique thing in the religious life of the village community. Based on this background, the researcher tries to explore the process of developing religious lifestyles in this multicultural society, then what are the factors that influence the occurrence of the phenomenon of religious lifestyles and patterns of social relations of religious lifestyles in society. The research method uses a qualitative case study approach with a descriptive method, with the research subjects being former Kancana Hamlet communities, Islamic, Christian, Catholic and religious leaders, community or government leaders. The results of the study found that the process of developing the religious lifestyle of the community living side by side began with the majority of ancestral religions, namely Sundanese Javanese religion and Islam as a minority. Factors that influence religious lifestyles in society are from experience, emotions, interests, family, institutions and community groups. The pattern of social relations that occurs is where people think that all religions are good, humanizing humans is something that must be upheld.
