Abstract
Penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil kajian dan pengamatan langsung yang dialami siswa kelas IVB SDN H. Agus Salim Kabupaten Bandung yang menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika masih rendah yaitu sebanyak 12 siswa mendapatkan nilai di atas KKM dengan kriteria data KKM sebesar 59, sisanya sebanyak 14 orang mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM. Berdasarkan hasil observsi di SDN H. Agus Salim pembelajaran matematika pada umumnya menggunakan cara tradisional, siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep, kurang aktif dalam belajar, tidak terbiasa dalam berdiskusi, pembelajaran kurang menyenangkan. Oleh karena itu dalam pembelajaran matematika diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang melatih siswa untuk menemukan jawaban atas permasalahan yang dialami siswa tersebut. Salah satu pendekatan yang mampu untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut yaitu dengan menggunakan media manik-manik yang dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan berfikir, bekerja, dan bersikap ilmiah. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskrisikan perencanaan pembelajaran matematika sub bilangan bulat melalui media manik-manik, untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika sub bilangan bulat dengan pendekatan manik-manik, dan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap bilangan bulat melalui penerapan media manik-manik. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model penelitian yang dikembangkan oleh Jhon Elliot, penelitian ini menggunakan tiga siklus yang tiap siklusnya terdiri dari tiga tindakan. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata hasil prestasi belajar siswa mencapai 58, dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 53%, siklus II nilai rata-rata hasil prestasi belajar siswa mencapai 61,5 dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 61,5% dan siklus III nilai rata-rata hasil prestasi belajar siswa mencapai 75 dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 88%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media manik-manik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan pemahaman siswa dalam memahami bilangan bulat dalam operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat serta dapat meningkatkan kreatifitas siswa dalam melakukan kegiatan ilmiahnya. This study is based on the results of the study and direct observation experienced grade students of SDN IVB H. Agus Salim Bandung regency which suggests that student learning outcomes in mathematics remains low that as many as 12 students scored above the criterion of data KKM,which minimum score is 59, mean while, the remaining 14 students scored below the KKM. Based on observations in SDN H. Agus Salim learning of mathematics in general using the traditional way, students have difficulty in understanding the concept, less active in learning, not accustomed to discussing, learning less enjoyable. Therefore, it it necessary in learning mathematics learning approach which trains students to find answers to the problems experienced by these students. One approach that is able to overcome this problem is by using the media beads that can foster the ability to think, work, and be scientific. Based on these problems, the study aims to describe the planning sub integer math learning through the medium of the beads, to describe the implementation of sub-integer math learning approach beads, and to describe the increase in students understanding of this concepts through application of integer me dia beads. In this study, researchers used a method of Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a research model that was developed by John Elliot, this study uses three cycles each cycle consists of three acts. In the first cycle, the average value of the results of student achievement at 58, with a passing grade the student reaches 53%, the second cycle the average value of the results of student achievement reached 61.5 students achieve mastery learning with 61.5% and the average value of the third cycle the average student achievement results is 75 with mastery learning students reached 88%. It can be concluded that learning by using media beads can enhance student skills and understanding in understanding the operation integer addition and subtraction of integers and can enhance students' creativity in scientific activities.
