Abstract

Menghadapi tantangan di era pendidikan 4.0, guru sebagai garda terdepan dalam ranah pendidikan dituntut untuk siap berubah dan beradaptasi. Kompetensi guru menjadi syarat utama dalam tercapainya mutu pendidikan. Komponen minat mahasiswa pada profesi guru vokasi menjadi hal yang krusial untuk mencapai kompetensi guru yang dibutuhkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat mahasiswa pada profesi guru vokasi di era pendidikan 4.0, perbandingan minat antara gender, dan faktor internal serta faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi minat mahasiswa pada profesi guru vokasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang dilaksanakan secara online. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro angkatan 2017, 2018, 2019, dan 2020 sebanyak 323 mahasiswa. Jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 120 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa tingkat minat mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro FPTK UPI pada profesi guru vokasi di era pendidikan 4.0 berada pada kategori sedang yaitu sebanyak 64 mahasiswa (53,33%). Rata-rata minat pada profesi guru vokasi mahasiswa laki-laki lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa perempuan yaitu (71,27:67,97), tetapi rata-rata secara signifikan sama. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan faktor internal terhadap minat mahasiswa pada profesi guru vokasi. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan faktor eksternal terhadap minat mahasiswa pada profesi guru vokasi. Terdapat pengaruh signifikan faktor internal dan faktor eksternal secara simultan terhadap minat mahasiswa pada profesi guru vokasi yaitu sebesar 79,3%. Faktor internal lebih dominan daripada faktor eksternal dalam mempengaruhi minat mahasiswa pada profesi guru vokasi. Teacher competence is the main requirement in achieving the quality of education. The component of student interest in the vocational teacher profession is crucial to achieving the required teacher competencies. The purpose of this study was to determine student interest in the vocational teacher profession in the education 4.0 era, interest between gender, and internal and external factors that influence student interest in the vocational teaching profession. The research method applied in this research is quantitative by using a survey conducted online. The population of this research is students of the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program class of 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 as many as 323 students. The number of samples is 120 students data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The study results revealed that the level of interest of students of the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program FPTK UPI in the vocational teacher profession in the education 4.0 era was in the medium category, namely 64 students (53.33%). The average interest in the vocational teacher profession for male students is higher than female students (71.27:67.97), but the average is significantly the same. There is a positive and significant influence of internal factors on student interest in the vocational teaching profession. There is a positive and significant influence of external factors on student interest in the vocational teacher profession. There is a significant influence of internal and external factors simultaneously on student interest in the vocational teacher profession, equal to 79.3%. Internal factors are more dominant than external factors in influencing student interest in the vocational teaching profession.
