Abstract
Latar belakang dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah adanya fenomena santri di Pondok Pesantren “X” Cilacap yang memiliki resiliensi yang rendah, artinya mereka memiliki kapasitas diri yang rendah dalam menghadapi, mengatasi dan memperkuat diri ketika mengalami kemalangan dan kesengsaraan hidup. Pentingnya santri mengembangkan kapasitas diri, dan padatnya kegiatan santri membuat pendekatan konseling singkat berfokus solusi diajukan dalam penelitian ini sebagai langkah responsif untuk mengembangkan resiliensi santri. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk: (1) menghasilkan rumusan konseling singkat berfokus solusi untuk mengembangkan resiliensi santri; dan (2) mengetahui efektivitas penerapan konseling singkat berfokus solusi untuk mengembangkan resiliensi santri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control grop design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konseling singkat berfokus solusi efektif untuk menggembangkan resiliensi.

Background of this research is based on the fact that a number of students at “X” Islamic Boarding School Cilacap has low resilience, it means that they have a low capacity to face, make out, and strengthening their selves when experiencing adversity. The importance of student’s capacity enhancement, and fullday student’s activity make Solution-Focused Brief Counseling approach been proposed. The purpose of this research is to find out the effectivity of solution-focused brief counseling to enhance student’s resilience. The method of this research is quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The result show that solution-focused brief counseling is effective to enhance resilience.
