Abstract

ABSTRAK Pulau Jawa merupakan salah satu pulau terbesar di Indonesia dengan keanekaragaman budaya dan unsur lain yang membuat ciri khas masing-masing daerah sendiri, seperti halnya tradisi sesajen sunda di masyarakat Kampung Cipicung Girang Kota Bandung sebagai budaya yang menghasilkan nilai budaya bagi kehidupan masyarakat. Namun, dalam perspektif masyarakat awam atau masyarakat lain menganggap ritual ini disangkut pautkan dengan hal-hal mistis dan jauh dari rasionalisasi kemanfaatannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan tradisi sesajen sunda di masyarakat Kampung Cipicung Girang. (2) Mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai budaya simbolik sesajen sunda di dalam budaya sesajen. (3) Mengemukakan nilai-nilai budaya dalam tradisi sesajen sunda terkait budaya sesajen sunda berperan sebagai keteraturan sosial di masyarakat Kampung Cipicung Girang . Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah sesepuh kampung, tokoh masyarakat, masyarakat asli,dan pemuda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, studi literatur dan catatan., Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa., (1) Tradisi sesajen sudah dilakukan pada zaman dahulu oleh para karuhun dan turun temurun, Prosesi sesajen dibagi dua yaitu, kesatu sesajen sederhana dilakukan ketika di acara rutin malam selasa dan malam jumat serta acara atau kegiatan haminan dan kedua sesajen komplit dilakukan ketika ada acara besar seperti hajatan khitanan, pernikahan, dan muludan., (2) Nilai budaya pada sesajen sunda yaitu yang terdapat dalam tradisi sesajen memiliki makna simbol siloka dari komposisi sesajen itu sendiri, Parukuyan, Kemenyan, Seupaheun, Kopi, minyak wangi, cermin, sisir, kendi dan lainnya, komposisi tersebut melambangkan sifat-sifat kehidupan masyarakat Kampung Cipicung Girang , masyarakat yang ideal serta dapat hidup berdampingan satu dengan lainnya sehingga menciptakan masyarakat yang teratur sesuai dengan nilai-norma yang berlaku di masyarakat., (3) Nilai sesajen yang berkaitan dengan keteraturan sosial seperti masyarakat dapat tertib, teratur, dan bertanggung jawab serta melalui nilai dan norma yang berlaku seperti larangan-larangan yang ada di Kampung Cipicung Girang . Kata Kunci : Keteraturan Sosial, Masyarakat Cipicung Girang, Nilai Budaya, Tradisi Sesajen Sunda. ABSTRACT The island of Java is one of the largest islands in Indonesia with cultural diversity and other elements that make the characteristics of each region itself, such as the tradition of Sundanese offerings in the community of Cipicung Girang Village, Bandung City as a culture that produces cultural values for people's lives. However, in the perspective of ordinary people or other people, this ritual is considered to be related to mystical things and is far from rationalizing its usefulness. The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the process of implementing the Sundanese offerings tradition in the Cipicung village community happily. (2) Identifying the symbolic cultural values of Sundanese offerings in the culture of offerings. (3) Presenting cultural values in the tradition of Sundanese offerings related to the culture of Sundanese offerings which acts as a social order in the community of Cipicung Girang Village. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were village elders, community leaders, indigenous people, and youth. Data was collected through interview, observation, documentation studies, literature studies and notes. The results of this study indicate that (1) the tradition of offerings has been carried out in ancient times by karuhun and hereditary, the procession of offerings is divided into 2, namely, first, simple offerings are carried out at routine events on Tuesday and Friday nights as well as pregnancy events or activities and both complete offerings done when there is a big event such as a celebration of circumcision, weddings, and muludan. (2) The cultural values of Sundanese offerings, namely those contained in the offering tradition, have the meaning of the siloka symbol of the composition of the offering itself, Parupuyan, Frankincense, Seupaheun, coffee, perfume, mirrors, combs, jugs and others, the composition symbolizes the characteristics of life. Cipicung village community is happy, an ideal society and can live side by side with one another so as to create an orderly society in accordance with the norms prevailing in society. (3) Value of offerings related to social order, such as society can be orderly, orderly, and responsible through prevailing values and norms such as the prohibitions in Cipicung Girang Village.
