Abstract

Bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa komunikasi antar negara di dunia. Kebutuhan penggunaan bahasa Inggris terdapat pada banyak bidang. Diantaranya bidang pendidikan, teknologi dan hiburan. Penguasaan bahasa asing yang baik dapat menjadi nilai lebih bagi daya saing dan memperluas jangkauan informasi seseorang. Bahasa Inggris saat ini merupakan suatu kebutuhan. Dalam berkomunikasi, penggunaan bahasa yang baik adalah penggunaan bahasa yang sesuai dengan struktur dan aturan tata bahasa dalam penggunaannya. Demikian halnya dengan Bahasa Ingggris. Penggunaan bahasa yang baik akan menyampaikan makna yang lebih sempurna dibandingkan dengan penggunaan bahasa Inggris yang seadanya baik lisan maupun tulisan. Pembangunan Program Identifikasi Bentuk dan Struktur Tense pada Kalimat Berbahasa Inggris mengunakan fungsi Regular Expressions adalah penelitian yang dibuat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan-kebutuhan peningkatan kemampuan bahasa Inggris. Dalam program ini aturan dalam penggunaan bahasa Inggris yang diaplikasikan adalah Tenses. Tense atau Tenses (jamak) adalah ciri-ciri kata kerja yang menunjukan waktu kejadian atau keadaan yang digambarkan pada sebuah kalimat. Terdapat 16 bentuk tenses yang diolah pada penelitian ini. Yaitu simple present tense, present progressive tense, simple past tense, past progressive tense, present future tense, present future progressive tense, present perfect tense, present perfect progressive tense, past perfect tense, past perfect progressive tense, present futureperfect progressive tense, past future tense, past future progressive tense, past futureperfect tense, past future perfect progressive tense, dan present future perfect tense. Program ini dibangun sebagai alat yang dapat mengidentifikasi suatu bentuk tense dalam penggunaan kalimat berbahasa Inggris. Program ini mengolah kalimat yang memiliki struktur pembangun tense. Dalam penelitian ini kalimat yang diolah adalah kalimat dengan bentuk active affirmative dan active negative. Proses identifikasi pada program ini memanfaatkan fungsi preg_match dalam kajian Regular Expression (regex). Untuk mengaplikasikan fungsi preg_match diperlukan notasi regex sebagai identifier awal membaca pola pada kalimat kemudian disesuaikan dengan verb sehingga program dapat memunculkan hasil berupa bentuk tense dari kalimat yang diinputkan. Penelitian dilaksanakan melalui wawancara pakar, observasi dan studi literatur. Kata kunci : ekspresi reguler, regex,identifikasi, tense, tenses, verb. English is the communication language between countries in the world. Needs of English language usage found in many areas. Among the fields of education, technology and entertainment. Mastery of foreign languages can be of more value to our competitiveness and expand the range of our information. English today is a need. In communication the good use of language is is the use of language appropriate to the structure and rule grammar in use. So it is with the English. Good use of language will convey meaning more perfect than a sober use of good English both oral and written. Tense’s Form and Structure on English Sentence Identification Program Development using Regular Expressions Function is a research which made for fulfill the needs for improving English skills. In this program, rules which applied in the English language is Tenses. Tense or Tenses are characteristc of verb which shows time of action or situation figured by a sentence. There are 16 different tenses are treated in this study. There are simple present tense, present progressive tense, simple past tense, past progressive tense, present future tense, present future progressive tense, present perfect tense, present perfect progressive tense, past perfect tense, past perfect progressive tense, present futureperfect progressive tense, past future tense, past future progressive tense, past futureperfect tense, past future perfect progressive tense, dan present future perfect tense. The program is built as a tool that can identify a form in the use of tense in English sentence. The program processes a sentence that has a tense structure. This study sentences are processed are sentence with active affirmative and active negative forms. Identification process in this program utilize the preg_match functionality of Regular Expressions (regex). Applicating preg_match function need regex notation as first identifier fore reading the pattern on a sentence then adapted to the verb untill program shows the result as the form of tense by input sentence. This research was conducted through expert interviews, observations and literature research. Keywords : regular expressions, regex, identification, tense, tenses, verb.
