Abstract

ABSTRAK Suci Sukmayanti Putri, 1607811. (2020). Perbandingan Self-Compassion Remaja Berdasarkan Jenis Kelamin serta Implikasi Bagi Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling (Studi Komparatif di SMP Negeri 1 Lembang Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020). Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh self-compassion yang dapat membantu remaja menghadapi permasalahan dan perubahan dalam diri. Penelitian mengkaji perbandingan self-compassion remaja berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Tujuan penelitian adalah memperoleh gambaran tentang perbedaan self-compassion peserta didik berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif komparatif. Sampel yang digunakan terdiri dari 217 peserta didik kelas VII, VIII dan IX SMP Negeri 1 Lembang Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel two-stage cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data self-compassion menggunakan instrumen self-compassion yang dikembangkan dari instrumen asli self-compassion yaitu Self-Compassion Scale (SCS), sedangkan data jenis kelamin menggunakan identitas peserta didik yang disertakan di dalam kuesioner. Analisis perbandingan dilaksanakan menggunakan statistika nonparametrik dengan teknik yang digunakan adalah Mann-Whitney U Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum self-compassion peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Lembang Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan skor self-compassion remaja berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Comparison of Adolescence Self-Compassion Based on Sex Different and Implication for Guidance and Counseling Service (Comparative Research on SMP Negeri 1 Lembang in 2019/2020 Academic Year). This research is motivated by the importance of self-compassion in helping adolescents face problems and changes in themselves.This study examined adolescent self-compassion comparisons based on sex different. The research goal was to described the differences in self-compassion of students based on sex different. This research uses a quantitative approach with a comparative descriptive method. The sample used consisted of 217 students of first, second, and third grade of SMP Negeri 1 Lembang in 2019/2020 Academic Year by using a two-stage cluster sampling technique. The technique of collecting self-compassion data uses a self-compassion instrument developed from the original self-compassion instrument, called the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS), while the sex different data uses the identities of students included in the questionnaire. Comparative analysis was performed using non-parametric statistics with the technique used was the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results showed that in general the self-compassion of students of SMP Negeri 1 Lembang of 2019/2020 academic year were in the medium category. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is no difference in adolescent self-compassion scores based on sex different.
