Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berfokus pada makanan utama tradisional Sunda varian nasi. Makanan utama tradisional Sunda ada banyak jenisnya dan memiliki beragam cara pembuatan serta cara penyajiannya. Makanan pokok masyarakat Indonesia adalah nasi. Setiap daerah di Indonesia memiliki beragam jenis olahan nasi yang memiliki cita rasa yang berbeda-beda sesuai sumber daya alam maupun kebiasaan makan masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengukur tingkat eksistensi nasi tradisional Sunda di Bandung pada saat ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan mix methods dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara secara mendalam, angket, studi literatur, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah nasi tradisional Sunda masih eksis di kalangan masyarakat mengingat tren makanan dan selera masyarakat terus mengalami perubahan dari waktu ke waktu karena masuknya budaya asing yang ikut memengaruhi ragam pilihan makanan di Indonesia. Setiap varian nasi memiliki tingkat eksistensi yang berbeda sehingga makanan varian nasi yang eksistensinya di bawah harus didorong kembali agar lebih dikenal masyarakat. Diperlukan upaya dari pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat dalam mengedukasi dan melestarikan nasi tradisional Sunda agar tidak tenggelam dengan budaya luar manapun dan tetap diketahui oleh masyarakat luas. ABSTRACT This research focuses on the traditional Sundanese main dish rice variant. There are many kinds of a traditional Sundanese main dish with various ways of making and serving. The Indonesian staple food is rice. Every region in Indonesia has various types of processed rice that has different tastes according to natural resources and eating habits of local people. This research is conducted to measure the existence of traditional Sundanese rice in Bandung in the present time. This research is conducted using mix methods with data collection techniques using in-depth interview methods, polls, literature studies, and documentation studies. The result of this study is to find out whether the traditional Sundanese rice still exists among the community considering the food trends and people's tastes continue to change over time because of the inclusion of foreign cultures that influence the variety of food choices in Indonesia. Each rice variant has a different level of existence so that rice variant whose existence below the others should be pushed back to be better known to society. It takes effort from local governments and local people to educate and preserve traditional Sundanese rice so as not to disappear with other culture especially foreign culture and also to be known by our societies.
