Abstract

ABSTRAK Kekeringan meteorologis merupakan salah satu tipe kekeringan yang disebabkan oleh defisitnya curah hujan pada suatu waktu dari keadaan normalnya. Fenomena iklim global ENSO yang terjadi akan memperparah kejadian kekeringan di suatu wilayah. Pengukuran kekeringan di salah satu daerah sentra padi seperti Kabupaten Subang penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian ini mencoba mengukur serta mengevaluasi kekeringan meteorologis, melakukan analisis deskripsi keragaan padi, serta uji dampak kekeringan meteorologis terhadap keragaan padi di Kabupaten Subang. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur kekeringan meteorologis dalam penelitian ini adalah Standardize Precipitation Index (SPI). Data curah hujan bulanan pada 19 tahun terakhir (2001 – 2019) dari 19 stasiun hujan digunakan untuk menghitung SPI1 dan SPI12 baik secara rerata wilayah maupun per stasiun. Hasil studi menunjukan bahwa kekeringan meteorologis bulanan dan tahunan di Kabupaten Subang cukup sering terjadi dengan durasi dan keparahan yang cukup tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan SPI12 di wilayah Subang, dapat diketahui kekeringan terjadi diantaranya pada 2003, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2018 dan 2019. Beberapa kejadian El Nino pada 19 tahun terakhir ternyata juga berasosiasi dengan kejadian kekeringan tersebut. Melalui hasil analisis persebaran spasial kekeringan dapat diketahui kekeringan lebih intens terjadi di bagian tengah hingga utara. Sementara itu hasil kajian analisis dampak kekeringan terhadap keragaan padi menunjukan bahwa beberapa kejadian kekeringan berdampak terhadap keragaan padi di Kabupaten Subang baik terhadap padi sawah maupun padi ladang. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan melalui nilai deviasi negatif antara keragaan padi ekspektasi dengan aktualnya yang ternyata berkesesuaian dengan beberapa kejadian kekeringan. Namun perhitungan regresi menunjukan kekeringan lebih berpengaruh terhadap padi ladang daripada padi sawah. Sehingga direkomendasikan adanya pemantauan dan sistem peringatan dini kekeringan untuk mencegah gagal panen dan kerugian yang lebih besar. The ENSO global climate phenomenon that occurs will aggravate the occurrence of drought in a region. Measurement of drought in one of the rice center areas such as Subang Regency is important to do. This research tries to measure and evaluate meteorological drought, analyze the description of rice performance, and test the impact of meteorological drought on rice performance in Subang Regency. The method used to measure the meteorological drought in this study is the Standardize Precipitation Index (SPI). Monthly rainfall data for the last 19 years (2001 - 2019) from 19 rain stations is used to calculate SPI1 and SPI12 both regionally and per station. The results of the study show that monthly and annual meteorological drought in Subang Regency is quite common with a high duration and severity. Based on the SPI12 calculation results in the Subang region, it is known that drought occurred in 2003, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2018 and 2019. Some of the El Nino events in the last 19 years have also been associated with the drought. Through the analysis of spatial distribution of drought, it can be seen that more intense drought occurs in the middle to the north area. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the impact of drought on rice performance showed that some drought events had an impact on rice performance in Subang Regency, both on wetland rice and dryland rice. This can be proven by the negative deviation between the expected rice performance and the actual occurrence which is in accordance with several drought events. However, the regression calculation shows that drought has more effect on dryland rice than wetland rice. So it is recommended that there be drought monitoring and early warning system to prevent crop failure and greater losses.
