    Abstract

    Abstract
Preconception is needed as a first step to make a didactic design, so the context of OLED can be one of the materials for context-based learning in schools. This research aims to determine preconceptions of students high school about the context of Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED), chemical content related to the OLED context, and aspects of science, technology, and engineering. This research uses content analysis method. The instruments used were cognitive clinical interview guidelines and written test instruments. Participants in this research were 15 students from two SMAN in Bandung. In general, the results of the analysis of high school students' preconceptions about context of OLED, chemical content related to the OLED context, science and technology aspects are good, but still needs teacher guidance so students can truly understand the context of OLED, chemical content related to the OLED context, aspects of science and technology. However, students still do not understand the engineering aspects. The results of the analysis in this research can be used as a reference for making a didactic design about OLED.
Keywords: preconceptions, OLED, science, technology, and engineering.
