Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya pengetahuan siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) tentang informasi karir dan akses program layanan bimbingan karir sehingga menimbulkan kesulitan bagi siswa dalam menentukan pilihan karirnya. Untuk membantu siswa dalam mengatasi kesulitan menentukan pilihan karirnya, peneliti mengembangkan prototipe sistem pakar bimbingan karir siswa SMK berbasis web yang disebut ES-Bimkasis. Sistem ES-Bimkasis dibangun untuk membantu siswa SMK dalam menentukan pilihan karir berdasarkan peminatan diri terhadap bidang karir yang diinginkan. Pengembangan sistem ES-Bimkasis melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan sistem, perancangan system, validasi dan implementasi. ES-Bimkasis memiliki beberapa fitur, diantaranya informasi karir, bimbingan karir, hasil analisis bimbingan, panduan penggunaan dan kontak person. Sistem ES-Bimkasis dirancang berbasis web dengan pemrograman PHP dan MySQL. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem ES-Bimkasis yang dalam uji fungsionalitas secara keseluruhan telah menunjukkan keberhasilan fungsi. Pada aspek efisiensi dan unjuk kerja pengujian sistem yang dilakukan mendapatkan hasil yang baik, sedangkan respon siswa dalam pengujian sistem didapatkan hasil memuaskan. This research is motivated by the lack of knowledge of vocational high school students (SMK) about career information and access to career guidance service programs which creates difficulties for students in determining their career choices. To help students overcome difficulties in choosing their career choices, researcher developed a prototype expert system on career guidance for web-based Vocational students called ES-Bimkasis. The ES-Bimkasis system is built to help vocational students in determining career choices based on their interest in the desired career field. Development of ES-Bimkasis system through the stages of system requirements analysis, system design, validation and implementation. ESBimkasis has several features, among others career information, career guidance, results of guidance analysis, usage guidelines and contact person. ESBimkasis system is designed web-based with PHP and MySQL programming. This study resulted in the ES-Bimkasis system which in the overall functionality test has shown the success of the function. On the aspects of efficiency and performance, the system testing performed gets good results, while the students' responses in testing the system are satisfactory.
