Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya hubungan antara persepsi keterancaman dan agresi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 134 pengemudi transportasi konvensional yang terdiri dari pengemudi angkot dan ojek pangkalan di Kota Bandung. Sampel diambil secara insidental di lokasi-lokasi tempat pemberhentian transportasi. Data diperoleh melalui instrumen yang dikembangkan sendiri oleh peneliti dengan mengadaptasi aspek-aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Stephan, Ybarra dan Morrison (2009 dalam Nelson, 2009) untuk mengukur persepsi keterancaman dan Buss & Perry (1992) untuk mengukur agresi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan variabel persepsi keterancaman memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 58,8% dalam meningkatkan perilaku agresi. ;---The purpose of this study is to find out the relations between perception of threat and aggression. The sample in this study were 134 conventional transportation drivers consisting of public transportation drivers and motorcycle taxi drivers in the city of Bandung. The sample were taken incidentally at transportation shelter locations. Data was obtained through instruments developed by researcher by adapting aspects presented by Stephan, Ybarra and Morrison (2009 in Nelson, 2009) to measure perception of threat and Buss & Perry (1992) to measure aggression. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with simple regression analysis techniques. The results of this study showed that the perception of threat variable contributed 58,8% effectively in increasing aggression behavior.
