Abstract

Pengelolaan laboratorium yang baik sangat ditentukan oleh beberapa faktor yang saling berkaitan. Laboratorium dengan peralatan yang canggih dan staf yang terampil belum tentu dapat beroperasi dengan baik, jika tidak didukung dengan manajemen laboratorium yang baik. Manajemen laboratorium yang baik harus memiliki sistem organisasi yang baik, uraian kerja (job description) yang jelas, pemanfaatan fasilitas yang optimal, efektif, efisien, disiplin, dan administrasi laboratorium yang baik. Penelitian ini berupa pengembangan sistem informasi manajemen laboratorium pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membantu mempermudah pengelola laboratorium, khususnya data inventaris, kondisi alat, peminjaman dan pengembalian alat, jadwal laboratorium, tata tertib laboratorium serta monitoring rekaman kegiatan penggunaan laboratorium. Metode yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development & Implementation dan Evaluation), dimulai dari studi pendahuluan, pembuatan sistem dan pengujian sistem. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium otomotif FPTK UPI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengujian aspek functionality bernilai baik, pengujian aspek usability memperoleh nilai sangat tinggi, pengujian aspek reliability memperoleh nilai sangat tinggi, dan pengujian aspek efficiency memperoleh nilai sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang diperoleh, maka sistem informasi manajemen laboratorium pendidikan dapat digunakan untuk mendukung kegiatan pengelolaan laboratorium.;--- A good laboratory management is determined by qualified interrelated factors. A laboratory sophisticated equipment professional staff may not operate properly, without good laboratory management. A good laboratory management should has a good organizational system, job description clearly, facilities usefully, efficiently, disciplined and good laboratory administration. This research purposed to develop laboratory information management system such as to assist management, related to management, especially data inventory, equipment condition report, loans and equipment returns, laboratory schedules, laboratory procedures and monitoring of laboratory use data. The method used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development & Implementation and Evaluation), starting from initial studies, system making and system testing. This research was conducted in the automotive laboratory of the FPTK UPI. The results of this study indicate that the aspects of good functionality, testing the usability aspects used are very high, the reliability aspects is very high, and the efficiency aspects is very high. Based on the results obtained, the education management information system can be used to encourage laboratory activities.
