Abstract

Peserta didik tunanetra memiliki hambatan penglihatan sehingga akan berdampak pada aspek perkembangan lainnya. Salah satu dampak dari ketunanetraan yaitu deficit dalam aspek perkembangan sosial emosi. Hal tersebut menyebabkan munculnya perilaku tantrum pada peserta didik. Upaya untuk memodifikasi perilaku tantrum peserta didik dapat dilakukan dengan teknik-teknik yang menitikberatkan pada penghilangan penguatan (reinforcement) yang menjadi penyebab perilaku tersebut bertahan. Salah satunya adalah menggunakan teknik ekstingsi. Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan teknik ekstingsi dalam pengurangan perilaku tantrum pada peserta didik low vision di SLBN-A Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memperoleh gambaran tentang penerapan teknik ekstingsi dalam mengurangi perilaku tantrum pada peserta didik low vision di SLBN A Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain Single Subjek Research. Subjek penelitian berinisial DD kelas 3 SD di SLBN-A Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat penurunan perilaku tantrum pada aspek perilaku menangis dan perilaku mencubit. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menerapkan teknik ekstingsi, terdapat pengurangan perilaku tantrum pada peserta didik low vision di SLBN-A Kota Bandung.

Student with visual impairment that will have impact on other aspects of development. One of the effects of blindness is a deficit in the aspect of social emotional development. This causes the emergence of tantrum behavior of the students. The Efforts to modify students' tantrum behavior can be done by the techniques which focus on eliminating the reinforcement that caused by the behavior. One of the techniques are using an extinction Technique. This study discusses the application of external techniques in reducing tantrum behavior in low vision students’ in SLBN-A Bandung. This study aims to find out and learn about the application of essential techniques in reducing behavior in low vision students in SLBN A, Bandung. This study uses an experimental method with Single Subjects Research design. The research subject had the initials DD in 3rd grade of elementary school in SLBN-A Bandung. The results of this study showed that there was a decrease in tantrum behavior of crying and pinching aspects. The conclusion of this study is by applying an extinction technique, there is a reduction in tantrum behavior in low vision students in SLBN-A Bandung.
