Abstract
Penelitian didasari pentingnya mengembangkan kepercayaan diri siswa Sekolah
Dasar. Secara umum, penelitian dilakukan untuk menguji penerapan teknik token
economy dalam mengembangkan kepercayaan diri siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendapatkan profil kepercayaan diri siswa kelas V di SD
Negeri Isola, Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019, (2) menyusun program dengan teknik
token ekonomi dalam bimbingan kelompok untuk mengembangkan kepercayaan
diri, yang layak menurut pertimbangan pakar dan praktisi, dan (3) mengetahui
efektivitas teknik token ekonomi untuk mengembangkan kepercayaan diri siswa
kelas V di SD Negeri Isola, Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian menggunakan
pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen kuasi dan desain nonequivalen.
Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Isola Bandung, Tahun Ajaran
2018/2019. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan intrumen
kepercayaan diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Profil kepercayaan diri
siswa kelas V SD Negeri Isola berada pada kategori rendah; (2) program
bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik token ekonomi sesuai dengan kebutuhan
kepercayaan diri siswa; dan (3) bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik token
ekonomi terbukti efektif untuk mengembangkan kepercayaan diri siswa Sekolah
Dasar.
;---This research is based upon the importance of developing confidence of
elementary school students. Research was conducted to test the application of
token economy techniques in developing the confidence of elementary school
students. Specifically, it aims to (1) find out the self-confidence profile of fifth
grade students at Isola Elementary School, for the Academic Year 2018/2019, (2)
To organise proven programs as per experts and practitioners with application of
economic token techniques to provide group guidance for developing selfconfidence.
(3) To know the effectiveness of economic token techniques to develop
confidence of fifth grade students in Isola Public Elementary School for academic
Year 2018/2019. This study uses quantitative approach with quasi-experimental
and nonequivalent design methods. The research sample were fifth grade students
of SD Negeri Isola Bandung, Academic Year 2018/2019. Data collection was
carried out by using self-confidence instruments. The results shows that (1)
obtained a self-confidence profile in fifth grade students of SD Negeri Isola
Bandung in the low category; (2) group guidance programs with economic token
techniques were customised in accordance to the self confidence needs of
students; and (3) group guidance with economic token techniques are effective in
developing confidence of elementary school students.
