Abstract
Penelitian dilakukan untuk dua anak autis yang mempunyai masalah dengan konsentrasi yang ditandai dengan terganggunya konsentrasi anak dengan hal yang ada disekeliling mereka. peningkatan konsentrasi dilakukan dengan memberikan pendidikan musik melalui media notasi balok warna, anak autis adalah seorang visual thinker yang apabila diberikan materi ajar secara visual anak akan dapat menangkap pelajaran dengan sangat baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design Based Research yang dalam pengaplikasiannya dengan memakai tiga siklus. Desain dapat berubah sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kemampuan anak. Hasil dari penenlitian ini adalah, konsentrasi anak dalam memainkan melodi dalam bentuk notasi warna tercapai dengan baik, yakni anak mampu memainkan musik tanpa menggunkan notasi balok warna lagi, kemudian penggunaan konsep Design based research menghasilkan sintaks pendidikan untuk anak, efektivitas penggunaan warna, anak dapat mengimitasi musik yang ia dengar, anak mampu menentukan, dan menirukan dengan penyimbolan notasi balok warna dan trakhir adalah efek dari penelitian ini komunikasi, respon, perhatian gerakan tubuh serta kemampuan anak mengaplikasikan materi yang dipelajarinya berkembang dengan sangat ------- This study investigates two children with autism; they have problems in concentration indicated by their less attention to things exist surrounds them. Music education, through coloured music notation, is expected to improve the concentration of children with autism. Children with autism are defined as visual thinkers whose ability to understand lessons whenever the lesson are provided with visual elements. This study uses a Design Based Research method with three cycles in its application. The design is changeable; it depends on the children’s ability and need. This study shows that the children have better concentration when they play melody in the form of notation; that is to say, the children are capable to play music without reading the music sheet. Furthermore, design- based research produces syntactical teaching for children, the effectiveness of colour use. Children can imitate any types of music they listen to; they can determine and imitate using symbols of coloured musical notation. All in all, the effects of this study shows that the communication, response, soft and hard skill, gesture, and the children’s ability to apply the lesson material have developed.
