Abstract
Di Kabupaten Sumedang, terdapat mite Nyimas Pohaci Sanghyang Sri. Penelitian ini membahas analisis (1) struktur, (2) konteks penuturan, (3) proses penciptaan, (4) fungsi, (5) makna penghormatan terhadap Dewi Sri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tradisi lisan sebagai tumpuan dalam memperoleh data berupa mite. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara dengan menggunakan alat rekam dan alat tulis. Melalui analisis struktur diperoleh hasil bahwa mite Nyimas Pohaci Sanghyang Sri mengandung bentuk penghormatan terhadap Dewi Sri. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan kepercayaan masyarakat Rancakalong yang masih menghormati Dewi Sri hingga kini. Struktur tersebut berkaitan dengan konteks penuturan dan proses penciptaan yang memperkuat adanya bentuk penghormatan Dewi Sri dalam teks. Hal tersebut terlihat dari fungsi mite tersebut sebagai sistem proyeksi, pengesah pranata-pranata dan lembaga-lembaga kebudayaan, alat pendidikan, dan sebagai alat pemaksa dan pengawas agar norma-norma masyarakat dipatuhi anggota kolektifnya. Selain itu, terdapat makna penghormatan Dewi Sri yang dilihat dari hasil analisis keseluruhan. ;--- In Sumedang District there is a Nyimas Pohaci Sanghyang Sri myth. This study discusses by analizing (1) structure, (2) narrative context, (3) the creation process, (4) function, (5) the meaning of respect for Dewi Sri. In this study using qualitative methods with oral tradition as a foundation in obtaining data in the form of myths. This study uses observation and interview techniques using recording tools and stationery. Through structural analysis, it seems that Nyimas Pohaci Sanghyang Sri myth contains an information of respect for Dewi Sri. This is evidenced by the trust of the Rancakalong people who still respect Dewi Sri until now. The structure is related to the context of narration and the creation process which reinforces the existence of a form of respect for Dewi Sri in the text. This can be seen as projection system, validation of cultural institusions and institutions, educational tools, and as a means of coercion and supervision so that the norms of society are complied with by their collective members. In addition, there is a meaning of respect for Dewi Sri which is seen form the results of the overall analysis.
