Abstract
Anggrek terestrial memiliki fungsi ekologis sebagai penyeimbang dan daur nitrogen tanah, serta bermanfaat untuk pengobatan penyakit tertentu. Anggrek terestrial jarang ditemukan karena memiliki habitat khusus untuk tumbuh. Alih fungsi lahan dan eksploitasi terhadap anggrek membuat keberadaan anggrek semakin menurun. Beberapa genus anggrek terestrial berstatus terancam punah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan dan keanekaragaman anggrek terestrial di Gunung Pasir Cadaspanjang yang merupakan kawasan hutan lindung di Bumi Perkemahan Ranca Upas yang dikelola oleh Perum Perhutani. Metode yang digunakan adalah cruising/jelajah pada jalur yang tersedia di hutan heterogen Gunung Pasir Cadaspanjang. Keanekaragaman dan distribusi anggrek terestrial pada daerah penelitian dianalisis. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu terdapat 2 subfamili anggrek terestrial yaitu Epidendroideae dan Orchidoideae, dengan total individu sebanyak 201 dari 9 spesies anggrek terestrial. Keanekaragaman anggrek terestrial pada Gunung Pasir Cadaspanjang termasuk dalam keanekaragaman sedang, dengan pola distribusi mengelompok. Gunung Pasir Cadaspanjang dapat menjadi habitat yang cukup baik untuk anggrek terestrial tumbuh, dan diharapkan adanya monitoring secara berkala untuk menjaga eksistensi anggrek terestrial. Kata Kunci : Anggrek Terestrial, Gunung Pasir Cadaspanjang, Keanekaragaman, Distribusi DIVERSITY AND DISTRIBUTION OF TERRESTRIAL ORCHIDS IN THE PASIR CADASPANJANG MOUNTAIN, CIWIDEY, WEST JAVA ABSTRACT Terrestrial orchids have ecological functions as a counterweight and soil nitrogen cycle. They are also useful for the treatment of certain diseases. However terrestrial orchids are rare to be found because of their special habitat to grow. Furthermore the existence of terrestrial orchids also decreased due to the change of the land function and exploitation. Some terrestrial orchid genus are now threatened with extinction. This study aims to determine the existence and diversity of terrestrial orchids in a protected forest area of Pasir Cadaspanjang Mountain managed by Perum Perhutani located in Bumi Perkemahan Ranca Upas. The method used in this research is by cruising accessible path in the heterogeneous forest of Pasir Cadaspanjang Mountain. The diversity and distribution of terrestrial orchids in the study area were analyzed. The results of the study shows that there are 2 subfamily terrestrial orchids found in the Pasir Cadaspanjang Mountain Forest namely Epidendroideae and Orchidoideae, with 201 individuals from 9 species of terrestrial orchids. The diversity of terrestrial orchids in Pasir Cadaspanjang Mountain is identified as moderate with clustered patterns of distributions. Pasir Cadaspanjang Mountain is able to be a good habitat for terrestrial orchids to grow. It is strongly recommended to monitorize periodically in order to preserve the existence of terrestrial orchids. Keywords : Terrestrial Orchids, Pasir Cadaspanjang Mountain, Diversity, Distribution
