    Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemetaan relevansi antara kompetensi di otomotif LPTK UPI dengan kompetensi kerja di industri otomotif. Permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah adanya ketidaksesuaian antara kompetensi teknik otomotif di LPTK UPI dengan kompetensi kebutuhan dunia kerja khususnya di industri otomotif. Pihak industri dalam hal ini sebagai acuan kualifikasi kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk dunia kerja, akan tetapi yang terjadi dilapangan tidak sesuai dengan apa yang di lapangan. penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dan dokumentasi yang didapat dari tempat penelitian yaitu Workshop KBK Otomotif UPI Bandung dan Auto 2000 Pasteur dan SKKNI Kendaraan Ringan. Hasil dari penelitian ini (1) Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa kompetensi otomotif di LPTK UPI dengan kompetensi kerja di Industri Otomotif, dengan rasio ketepatan sebesar 0.5 yang dapat diartikan cukup relevan. kesimpulan secara umum bahawa hasil dari deskripsi relevansi kompetensi otomotif di LPTK UPI dengan kompetensi industri otomotif sudah cukup relevan, (2) Walaupun nilai yang diperoleh sudah cukup baik, kompetensi di KBK Otomotif harus terus dikembangkan (3) Menyesuaikan kompetensi KBK Otomotif dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja.

    This study to describe the mapping of relevance between competencies in automotive LPTK UPI with work competencies in the automotive industry. The problem in this study is that there is a mismatch between automotive engineering competencies in the UPI LPTK and the competency of the workforce needs, especially in the automotive industry. The industry in this case is a qualification reference for labor needs for the world of work, but what happens in the field does not match what is in the field. this research is descriptive research. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation and documentation obtained from the research sites, namely the Workshop of KBC Automotive UPI Bandung and Auto 2000 Pasteur and Light Vehicle SKKNI. The results of this study (1) The results of the study found that automotive competencies in the UPI LPTK with work competencies in the Automotive Industry, with an accuracy ratio of 0.5 which can be interpreted quite relevant. the general conclusion is that the results of the description of the relevance of automotive competencies in the UPI LPTK with the competency of the automotive industry are quite relevant. (3) Adjust the competence of the Automotive KBK to the needs of the workforce.
