Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang metode konservasi menggunakan feromon seks pada kupu-kupu Papilio memnon, dengan menghitung nilai ketertarikan (IA) jantanya dalam pengujian di laboratorium dan di lapangan. Pengujian feromon seks kupu-kupu Papilio memnon yang dilakukan memalui pengamatan perilaku memanggil bertujuan untuk mengetahui jam kawin (waktu panggilan) dan mengamati respon serangga jantan Papilio memnon terhadap ekstrak feromon dari abdomen betina “virgin”, betina hidup dan larutan heksan yang telah diuji dengan menggunakan Tabung Olfaktometer di laboratorium, dan perakap di dalam dome untuk uji di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa waktu tercepat untuk panggilan adalah 08.45 pagi. Hasil uji di laboratorium kupu-kupu jantan Papilio memnon memberikan respon positif terhadap semua bahan uji, dengan nilai ketertarikan terbesar 76% dari ekstraksi langsung abdomen betina Papilio memnon. Berdasarkan hasil uji di lapangan, jumlah organisme jantan Papilio memnon yang banyak tertarik terdapat pada perangkap betina hidup Papilio memnon, sebanyak 4 individu pada jam pengamatan 08.30 pagi yang menunjukkan hasil paling baik di lapangan.---- Has done research on the use method using sex pheromone on Papilio memnon, by calculating the value of interest in the laboratory and in the field. Sex feromone examination of butterfly species Papilio memnon has done by calling behavior observation to determine the mating hour (calling time) and observe the male respond to feromone extract from virgin female’s abdominal section, living female and heksan solution tested before by olfaktometer tube on the laboratory and also tested by traping method inside dome as a field test. The result show that fastest time for calling time is 8.45. The result form laboratory test show that male butterfly giving positive respond to all test materials, with highest interest value 76% from direct female abdominal section extraction. According to the number of male interest abundance, 4 organisms trapped to living female feromone at 8.30 which is the best calling time during field test.
