Abstract
Penilaian terhadap kinerja siswa merupakan tuntutan yang harus dilakukan oleh seorang guru yang masih dirasakan sulit. Salah satu kesulitan yang dialami berupa pelaksanaan penilaian yang harus dilakukan terhadap seluruh siswa pada kelas dengan jumlah siswa yang banyak. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut diantaranya dapat dilakukan melalui peer & self assessment. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh informasi atau gambaran tentang penerapan peer dan self assessment untuk mengungkap kinerja siswa SMK dalam praktikum korosi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subjek yang diteliti adalah 30 siswa SMK kelas XI. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar peer assessment, lembar self assessment, lembar observasi, angket dan pedoman wawancara. Terdapat lima tahapan peer dan self assessment yang secara keseluruhan semuanya dapat berjalan dengan baik. Kinerja siswa yang dapat terungkap melalui peer dan self assessment pada tahap persiapan praktikum (97%), pelaksanaan praktikum (95,2%), mengisi tabel pengamatan dan menyimpulkan (91,5%) dan kebersihan setelah praktikum (96,3%). Temuan lain yaitu kemampuan self assessment menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak (33,3%) siswa dikategorikan sangat baik dan sisanya (66,7%) siswa berada pada kategori baik, cukup, kurang dan kurang sekali. Sedangkan kemampuan peer assessment menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak (58,3%) siswa dikategorikan sangat baik dan sisanya (41,7%) siswa berada pada kategori baik, cukup, kurang dan kurang sekali. Berdasarkan hasil-hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa peer dan self assessment dapat diterapkan untuk menilai kinerja siswa SMK dalam praktikum korosi.-----Assessment of student performance is a demand that are still felt difficult to do. One of the difficulties experienced is implementation of the assessment to be done on students in the class with a large number of students. To overcome such difficulties can be done through peer & self assessment. This research’ purpose is to obtain information or description about application of peer and self assessment to reveal vocational student’s performance in corrosion practicum. This research uses descriptive method. Subjects studied were 30 students of vocational students class XI. The instruments used are peer assessment sheets, self assessment sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires and interview guidelines. The results of the research shows that the peer and self assessment instruments meet the valid and reliable requirements. There are five stages of peer and self assessment that overall can work well. Student performance can be revealed through peer and self assessment that is practicum preparation (97%), practicum implementation (95,2%), fill the observation table and concluding (91,5%) and cleanliness after practicum (96,3%). Other findings is self assessment ability shows that (33,3%) students are categorized very well and the rest (66,7%) students are in good, enough, bad and very bad category. Peer assessment ability shows that (58,3%) students are categorized very well and the rest (41,7%) students are in good, enough, bad and very bad category. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that peer and self assessment can be applied to assess the performance of vocational students in corrosion practicum.
