Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode mind map dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada anak tunarungu di SLB B Sukapura Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-group pre-test post-test. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil tes soal berupa pilihan ganda yang dilakukan pada kondisi awal sebelum diberi perlakuan/intervensi, saat diberi perlakuan/intervensi, dan setelah diberi perlakuan/intervensi. Pengolahan data penelitian menggunakan perhitungan statistik nonparametris melalui uji wilcoxon. Tempat penelitian di SLB B Sukapura Kota Bandung dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak enam orang siswa tunarungu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode mind map dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman anak tunarungu. Guru dapat menggunakan metode mind map dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya dalam kegiatan membaca. ;---The purpose of this study is to determine the use of mind map method in an effort to improve the ability to read understanding in children with hearing impairment in SLB B Sukapura Bandung. The method used in this research is experimental method with one-group pre-test post-test research design. The research data was obtained from the test result of multiple choice done at initial condition before being given treatment/intervention, when given treatment/intervention, and after given treatment/intervention. Data processing research using nonparametric statistical calculation through wilcoxon test. Place of study in SLB B Sukapura Bandung with the number samples of six students deaf. The result showed that mind map method can improve reading comprehension ability of deaf children. Teacher can use the mind map method in the learning process, especially in reading activities.
