Abstract

Bahan ajar atau modul pembelajaran sangat diperlukan bagi peserta didik untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Modul juga memiliki potensi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Hal ini disebabkan modul dapat dibaca dan dipahami diluar jam pelajaran. Modul PDE berbasis PBL merupakan modul pembelajaran SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) untuk siswa kelas X Prodi TITL, didalamnya terdapat pengetahuan dan metode belajar PBL pada materi pelat logam yang sesuai KD (Kompetensi Dasar) pada silabus pendidikan SMK. Sehingga dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi, sebab kegiatan belajar siswa menggunakan tahapan-tahapan model pembelajaran PBL. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengimplementasikan modul PDE berbasis PBL untuk mengetahui keefektifan belajar siswa dari hasil test dan mengetahui kelayakan modul PDE berbasis PBL dalam kegiatan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan teknik quasi experiment berbentuk pre-test and post-test group dan bertempat di SMK 4 Bandung. Objek penelitian dari penggunaan modul PDE berbasis PBL yaitu kelas X-TITL 2. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 35 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar aspek kognitif sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan modul PDE berbasis PBL memperoleh rerata gain 0,51 dengan kriteria sedang. Hasil belajar aspek afektif memperoleh rerata skor 3,76 (nilai A-) dengan kategori yang sangat baik dan aspek psikomotorik mendapatkan rerata skor 3,91 (A) dengan kategori yang sangat baik. Kemudian hasil uji angket respon siswa didapatkan dari secara keseluruhan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul PDE berbasis PBL yang diterima secara baik oleh sebagian besar siswa. Hambatan yang berarti dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul PDE berbasis PBL yaitu tidak semua siswa mempunyai modul ini. ------ Teaching materials or learning modules are necessary for learners to assist students in understanding learning materials. Modules also have potential in improving the quality of education and learning. This is because the module can be read and understood outside the lesson. PBL-based PDE module is a learning module of Vocational High School (Vocational Secondary School) for students of class X of Prodi TITL, in which there is knowledge and learning method of PBL on metal plate material according to KD (Basic Competency) on syllabus of vocational education. Then it can help students in understanding the material, because the learning activities of students using the stages of PBL learning model. The purpose of this research is to implement PBL-based PDE module to know the effectiveness of student learning from the test result and to know the feasibility of PBL based PDE module in student learning activity. This research uses R & D method with quasi experiment technique in the form of pre-test and post-test group and held at SMK 4 Bandung. The object of research from the use of PBL-based PDE module that class X-TITL 2. Samples used in this study amounted to 35 students. The results showed that cognitive aspect learning outcomes before and after using PBL-based PDE module obtained a mean gain of 0.51 with moderate criteria. The result of learning affective aspect got average score 3,76 (A-) with very good category and psychomotor aspect got average score 3,91 (A) with very good category. Then the result of questionnaire test of student responses obtained from the whole learning by using PBL-based PDE module which well accepted by majority of student. A significant obstacle in the implementation of learning by using PBL-based PDE module is that not all students have this module.
