    Abstract

    Juvenile delinquency is an issue that can no longer be denied. This problem has disturbed many people, not only urbanized, but has penetrated into the countryside as the impact of technological developments. This issue is responsibility from all part, the family as the primary group, which has the responsibility of first and foremost education for the child, especially in the process of socialization and norms. In society, of course, their have rules that is by mechanism, values and norms that apply in society. The existence of mechanisms, values and norms is an effort to prosper the social life. Besides family, the community must play an active role in the process of socialization and in terms of behavior surrounding communities, especially for the youth. The purpose of this research is to know and to describe how the role of parents in social socialization process of social values and norms of decency as a preventive effort juvenile delinquency in Cimalaka Village RT / RW 03/05 Wanaraja Subdistrict, Garut regency. This research uses qualitative approach and descriptive method with data generated through observation, in-depth interview, document analysis, and literature study. Techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data display and conclusion. Triangulation and member checks are used to obtain validity data. The results of this study indicate in the process of socialization, the parents use three ways namely, 1) Advice, 2) Example, and 3) Habituation.---- Kenakalan remaja merupakan sebuah permasalahan yang tidak dapat lagi dipungkiri. Permasalahan ini sudah meresahkan banyak masyarakat, tidak hanya diperkotaan saja, namun sudah merambah ke pedesaan sebagai imbas dari majunya teknologi. Permasalahan ini merupakan tanggung jawab bersama baik dari pihak keluarga sebagai kelompok primer, yang memiliki tanggung jawab sebagai pendidikan yang pertama dan utama kepada anak, khususnya dalam proses sosialisasi nilai dan norma. Di dalam masyarakat sudah barang tentu memiliki aturan-aturan yaitu oleh mekanisme, nilai-nilai dan norma-norma yang berlaku di masyarakat. Adanya mekanisme, nilai-nilai dan norma-norma merupakan upaya mensejahterakan kehidupan bermasyarakat. Selain keluarga, masyarakat harus ikut berperan aktif baik dalam proses sosialisasi nilai dan norma maupun dalam pengawasan perilaku masyarakat disekitarnya, khususnya remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana peran orang tua dalam proses sosialisasi nilai sosial dan norma susila sebagai upaya preventif kenakalan remaja di kawasan Kampung Cimalaka RT/RW 03/05 Desa Wanaraja Kabupaten Garut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif dengan data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, analisis dokumen, dan studi literatur. Teknik yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Triangulasi dan member check digunakan untuk memperoleh keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses sosialisasi, para orang tua menggunakan tiga cara yaitu, 1) Pemberian nasehat, 2) Teladan, dan 3) Pembiasaan.
