Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari asumsi bahwa setiap wanita cenderung memiliki gaya komunikasi feminim pada saat berbicara di depan publik. Ciri-ciri tersebut yaitu: anggun, lemah, pasif, menghindari konflik, dan low profile merupakan hal umum yang ada pada diri seorang wanita. Namun karakteristik tersebut tidak ditemukan dalam sosok Menteri Susi Pudjiastuti. Bagaimana gaya komunikasi Menteri Susi Pudjiastuti yang bertolak belakang dengan ciri-ciri gaya komunikasi femimin akan dibahas dengan menganalisis terlebih dahulu retorika Menteri Susi Pudjiastuti saat berpidato. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa retorika Menteri Susi Pudjiastuti dalam beberapa pidatonya sehingga akan menghasilkan kesimpulan tentang gaya komunikasi yang dimilikinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian tertuju pada tiga pidato Menteri Susi pudjiastuti pada situs Youtube yang berbeda pada waktu, audiens, serta topik pidato. Berdasarkan hasil temuan retorika sesuai dengan ethos, pathos, logos, Menteri Susi Pudjiastuti selalu berbicara langsung kepada pokok permasalahan serta emosi bersemangat yang selalu ditampilkan kepada audiens. Kemudian setelah menganalisis retorika Menteri Susi Pudjiastuti, ternyata hasilnya yaitu Menteri Susi Pudjiastuti menggunakan gaya komunikasi maskulin dimana ciri-ciri dari gaya komunikasi tersebut yaitu kuat, ambisius, sukses, tidak menghindari konflik, rasional, emosi terkontrol, dan high profile.----------- This Research started from the assumption that every women tends to have a feminine communication style when speaking in the public. The characteristics such as: graceful, weak, passive, avoid conflict, and low profile is common in a woman. But, the characteristics like that is not found in Minister of Susi Pudjiastuti. How can the communication style of Minister of Susi Pudjiastuti that contrast with the characteristics of Minister Susi Pudjiastuti during the speech. This study aims to analyze the the rhetoric of Minister of Susi Pudjiastuti in some her speech, so that will make a result about her communication style. This research use qualitative method and the subject of the study focused on three speechs of Minister of Susi Pudjiastuti in Youtube site that has different between the time, the audiences, and the topic. Based on the findings of the rhetoric according to ethos, pathos, logos, Minister of Susi Pudjiastuti always talks directly to the main subject and the vibrant emotions always shown to the audiences. And then, after analyzing the rhetoric of Minister of Susi Pudjiastuti, the result is that she uses masculine communication style when the characteristics of communication style are strong, ambitious, successful, not avoid conflict, rational, controlled emotion, and high profile
