Abstract
Penelitian ini didasarkan atas adanya permasalahan kesenjangan antara implementasi pembelajaran kimia yang dilakukan dengan tuntutan kurikulum serta rendahnya hasil belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meredesain pembelajaran kimia di SMA pada materi sel elektrolisis sebagai landasan dalam menetapkan standar tujuan, isi, dan proses pembelajaran. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan obyek berupa dokumen pembelajaran, meliputi silabus, buku ajar, jurnal penelitian pendidikan, dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) kimia SMA dari dalam dan luar negeri. Subyek penelitian adalah ahli pendidikan kimia dan guru kimia SMA sebagai validator. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui pengkategorisasian domain tujuan, isi, dan proses pembelajaran. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa capaian belajar sel elektrolisis ditekankan pada kemampuan menanggapi, menghargai, mengingat pengetahuan konseptual, menerapkan pengetahuan prosedural, dan keterampilan merancang eksperimen. Konsep esensial sel elektrolisis yang hendaknya dikembangkan, meliputi konsep prasyarat yaitu reaksi kimia, energi listrik, konsep reaksi redoks, konsep stoikiometri, senyawa ionik, dan sel Volta; konsep utama yaitu sel elektrolisis dan elektrode; dan konsep pengayaan yaitu diagram sel elektrolisis, proses dan produk elektrolisis, persamaan reaksi setengah-sel, penyepuhan, ekstraksi, dan pemurnian logam, serta hukum Faraday. Strukturisasi konten sel elektrolisis diwujudkan ke dalam peta konsep dan struktur makro. Peta konsep sel elektrolisis meliputi tujuh level, level pertama adalah konsep elektrokimia, level kedua adalah reaksi kimia dan energi listrik, level ketiga adalah konsep reaksi redoks dan stokiometri, level keempat adalah sel Volta dan elektrolisis, level kelima adalah diagram sel elektrolisis, persamaan reaksi setengah-sel, elektrode, senyawa ionik, penyepuhan, ekstraksi, dan pemurnian logam, serta hukum Faraday, level keenam adalah proses elektrolisis, dan level ketujuh adalah produk elektrolisis. Struktur makro sel elektrolisis meliputi tiga bahasan utama dan tujuh pokok bahasan, bahasan pertama adalah sel elektrokimia meliputi definisi dan jenis sel elektrokimia, bahasan kedua adalah sel elektrolisis meliputi rangkaian sel elektrolisis, proses dan produk elektrolisis, dan bahasan ketiga adalah aplikasi sel elektrolisis meliputi penggunaan sel elektrolisis di bidang industri dan perhitungan sel elektrolisis. Desain pembelajaran lebih menekankan pada strategi ekspositori dengan model kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat pengetahuan konseptual, dan model kooperatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menerapkan pengetahuan prosedural, sedangkan strategi diskoveri terbimbing dengan model kooperatif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan merancang eksperimen. Kata kunci: Redesain, Pembelajaran, Sel Elektrolisis, Standar Tujuan, Standar Isi, Standar Proses, This study designed based on discrepancy between the implementation of learning chemistry and a formed chemistry curriculum with the results that had been continuously under-average. Furthermore, this study aimed to redesign the chemistry learning of high-school for electrolytic cell on relevance with standard of the outcomes, the contents and the processes. Descriptive qualitative method design used for the learning documents, such as syllabi, text-books, journal of education researches, and lesson plans of high-school chemistry as objects for this study. The subjects for this study are chemist-edu experts and high-school chemist-teachers as validator. Qualitative technique selected for analyzing the data, then categorized them into each domain of the outcomes, chemistry contents, and instructional processes. The result showed that the learning outcomes of electrolytic cell formed to responding, valuing, remembering conceptual knowledge, applying procedural knowledge, and designing experiments. The essential concepts that should be developed of the electrolytic cell comprises of prerequisite concepts are chemical reaction, electrical energy, redox reaction and stoichiometry concept, ionic compound, and Voltaic cell; main concepts are electrolytic cell and electrode; while applied concepts are electrolytic cell diagram, electrolysis process and product, reaction equation of half-cells, electroplating, extraction, and purifying of metal, and Faraday’s laws. The instructional content that should be taught of the electrolytic cell had formed into concept map and macro structures. Concept map of electrolytic cell comprises of seven level, the first is electrochemistry concept, the second are chemical reaction and electrical energy, the third are redox reaction and stoichiometry concepts, the fourth are Voltaic and electrolytic cells, the fifth are electrolytic cell diagram, reaction equation of half-cells, electrode, ionic compound, electroplating, extraction, and purifying of metal, also Faraday’s laws, the sixth is electrolysis process, and the seventh is electrolysis product. Macro structure of electrolytic cell comprises of three main and seven sub-main content, the first is electrochemical cell with its definition and classifications, the second is electrolytic cell with its diagram, process and products, and the third is application of electrolytic cell with its industry-applied and algorithms. The instructional processes are more strengthening to expository strategy with contextual model is applied to improve remembering conceptual knowledge, and cooperative model to improve applying procedural knowledge, while guided-discovery strategy with cooperative model is applied to improve designing experiments.
