Abstract

Telah berhasil dibuat prototype speedometer menggunakan sensor giant magnetoresistance (GMR) berbasis mikrokontroler Atmega328p. Sensor GMR yang digunakan adalah NVE AB001-02. Sistem sensor kecepatan putar pada speedometer ini terdiri dari 2 buah magnet neodymium yang ditempel pada piringan motor yang berfungsi sebagai rotary encoder dan sensor GMR sebagai chip sensor. Sensor GMR akan menghasilkan tegangan keluaran setiap kali magnet neodymium melewatinya. Tegangan keluaran dari sensor GMR ini selanjutnya akan dikuatkan melalui rangkaian penguat AD620 dan diubah menjadi gelombang kotak menggunakan rangkaian schmitt trigger LM339. Selanjutnya hasil gelombang kotak tersebut diproses menggunakan mikrokontroler Atmega328p pada Arduino Uno dan hasilnya ditampilkan secara digital pada LCD berupa nilai jumlah pulsa dan nilai kecepatan. pada penilitian ini juga dilakukan uji respon dan sensitivitas speedometer terhadap kecepatan putar per menit (RPM). Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa speedometer dapat merespon perubahan kecepatan putar dengan baik dengan sensitivitas 10 pulsa/V. ----------Has been made prototype of speedometer by using magnetoresistance sensor based on ATmega328p microcontroller. The magnetoresistance sensor used is NVE AB001-02 type. The rotation speed sensor system on this speedometer consists of two pieces of neodymium magnet attached to the motor plate that functions as a rotary encoder and magnetoresistance sensor as sensor chip. The GMR sensor will produce an output voltage every time a neodymium magnet passes through it. The output voltage of the GMR sensor will amplified by the AD620 amplifier circuit. Then the voltage signal from the AD620 circuit will be converted to square wave by LM339 schmitt trigger circuit. The square wave is then processed into the number of pulses and speeds using the Atmega328p microcontroller on arduino uno and the results are displayed digitally on the LCD. In this study also tested the response and the sensitivity of speedometer to rotation speed per minute (RPM). In this study obtained that the speedometer can response to changes in rotational speed well and obtained that the sensitivity of the speedometer is 10 pulses/V.
