Abstract
Taman Hutan Raya Ir.H Djuanda ini merupakan kawasan hutan lindung yang kemudian beralih menjadi hutan wisata pada tahun 1985. Keanekaragaman daya tarik yang dimilki oleh hutan ini menyebabkan wisatawan yang datang didorong oleh berbagai motivasi. Motivasi dalam penelitian ini dibagi menjadi empat yaitu physical motivation, cultural motivation, social motivation dan prestige motivation. Jenis motivasi tersebut kemudian di kaitkan dengan karakteristik wisatawan. Karena dalam pengembangan suatu kawasan wisata perlu dilakukan analisis mengenai wisatawan yang datang dan faktor penyebab mereka datang untuk menentukan langkah-langkah yang sesuai untuk mengembangkan suatu destinasi wisata. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang dipakai adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Alat analisis yang digunakan untuk mengukur hubungan antara karakteristik wisatawan dan motivasi wisata menggunakan tabulasi silang dan uji chi square dengan bantuan software SPSS 17.0. Hasil dari analisis kuesioner menunjukan bahwa Taman Hutan Raya Ir.H Djuanda diminati oleh kalangan muda yang berusia produktif dan sebagian besar didorong karena physical motivation. Tabulasi dan uji chi square 71% menunjukan karakteristik wisatawan mempunyai hubungan yang erat dengan motivasi. Hasil temuan penelitian ini, adalah berupa rekomendasi bagi pengelola untuk lebih memperhatikan karakteristik wisatawan yang datang serta motivasi yang mendorong mereka untuk datang sehingga pihak pengelola dapat mengetahui langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan dalam menentukan pengembangan di Taman Hutan Raya Ir.H Djuanda. Ir.H Juanda Forest Park is a protected forest area which turned into a forest tourism area in 1985. Diversity appeal of being owned by the forest led to tourists who come driven by various motivations. Motivation in this study was divided into four: the physical motivation, cultural motivation, social motivation and prestige motivation. Those motivations later in associate with tourist characteristics. Due to the development of a tourist area needs to be done about the analysis of tourists coming and causes them to come to determine the appropriate steps to develop a tourist destination. In this study, the method used is quantitative research methods. Analysis tools used to measure the relationship between tourist motivation and tourist characteristics using cross-tabulation and chi square test with the help of SPSS 17.0 software. Results of the analysis of the questionnaire showed that the Ir.H Juanda Forest Park demand by young people who are productive and largely driven because physical motivation. The tabulation and chi square test showed 71% of travelers characteristic has a close relationship with motivation. The findings of this study, is a recommendation for the management to pay more attention to the characteristics and motivations of tourists coming that encourage them to come so that the manager can know the steps that must be done in determining the development in Ir.H Juanda Forest Park
