Abstract

Srikpsi ini berjudul “ Penerapan Model Cooperative Learning Type Buzz Group Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Mengemukakan Argumentasi Siswa Dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah ( Penelitian Tindakan Kelas XI MIA 4 SMAN 15 Bandung )”. Keterampilan mengemukakan argumentasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah sangatlah penting untuk dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan mengemukakan argumentasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Indikasi tersebut terlihat dari keberanian bertanya, mengemukakan argumentasi yang belum sesuai dengan harapan. Dari keresahan tersebut, maka peneliti merumuskan beberapa permasalahan yang diambil dalam penelitian ini diantaranya : pertama, Bagaimana merencanakan model cooperative learning type buzz group dalam pembelajaran. Kedua, Bagaimana melaksanakan model cooperative learning type buzz group. Ketiga, Bagaimana hasil dari model cooperative learning type buzz group. Keempat, Bagaimana upaya mengatasi kendala-kendala yang muncul dalam penerapan model cooperative learning type buzz group . Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukaan, perkembangan siswa dalam mencapai indikator kemampuan mengemukakan argumentasi yang telah ditentukan mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Aspek – aspek yang diteliti dari keterampilan mengemukakan argumentasi yaitu : mengungkapkan ide/gagasan yang sesuai fakta yang ditemukan, menghargai adanya perbedaan pendapat yang disampaikan, menggunakan bahasa yang jelas, lugas dan mudah dipahami, mampu mempertahankan pendapatnya. Perolehan skor masing – masing indikator pada setiap siklusnya mengalami peningkatan yang baik,dilihat dari hasil presentase tindakan I 17,22%, tindakan II 22,77%, tindakan III 28,33%, dan tindakan IV 31,66%. Hal ini menunjukan keberhasilan dari penerapan model cooperative learning type buzz group sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan mengemukakan argumentasi siswa. Dilihat dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan hendaknya model cooperative learning type buzz group senantiasa dijadikan suatu alternatif solusi untuk menghadapi masalah pembelajaran yang ada dikelas, terutama mengenai kemampuan mengemukakan argumentasi. ;--- This thesis is entitled "The Application of Cooperative Learning Model Type Buzz Group as an Effort to Improve Students’Ability of Proposing Argument in Learning History (Class Action Research at Class XI MIA 4 SMAN 15 Bandung)". Arguing ability of students in learning history is important to develop. This research is motivated by the students’ lack of ability to argue in history class. The indications can be seen from the courage to ask and to argue that have not been fulfilling the expectations. From the issue above, the researchers formulated some problems in this study which are: first, how to plan the cooperative learning model type buzz group in the learning process. Second, how to implement the cooperative learning model type buzz group. Third, the results of the cooperative learning model type buzz group. Fourth, efforts to overcome the obstacles that arise in the implementation of the cooperative learning model type buzz group. This study uses a classroom action research design with Kemmis and Taggart model which are: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the data analysis, students’ progress in achieving the capability indicator of the predetermined argumentation had increased in each cycle. Aspects which were studied from the ability of proposing argument are: expressing the ideas which are appropriate with the facts, appreciating the differences of opinion, using clear, straightforward and easy to understand language, and being able to defend the argument. Obtaining a score each - each indicator on each cycle experienced a good increase, this shows the success of the implementation of cooperative learning model of type buzz group as an effort to improve students' ability of proposing argument. Judging from the results of research conducted, the cooperative learning model type buzz group should be set as an alternative solution to overcome the existing problems of learning process in the class, particularly regarding the ability of proposing argument.
