Abstract
Keberagaman etnis di Indonesia terkadang menimbulkan masalah seperti konflik antar etnis, terutama ketika identitas etnis kelompok budaya tertentu hanya mencapai perkembangan identitas etnis unexamined. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan identitas etnis mahasiswa kerjasama Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia asal Kabupaten Siak. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Partisipan penelitian adalah 80 orang mahasiswa kerjasama asal Kabupaten Siak. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian mengadaptasi instrumen eksplorasi dan komitmen dalam bentuk skala likert. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan (1) sebagian besar mahasiswa kerjasama asal Kabupaten Siak berada pada status identitas etnis achieved, (2) rumusan program bimbingan dan konseling bagi mahasiswa kerjasama terdisi atas rasional, fokus pengembangan, prinsip bimbingan dan konseling, strategi bimbingan dan konseling, langkah-langkah, dukungan sistem dan ukuran keberhasilan. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan kepada konselor dan penelitian selanjutnya;--- Ethnic diversity in Indonesia sometimes cause problems such as ethnic conflicts, especially when the ethnic identity of certain cultural groups only reached in Unexamined ethnic identity development. The study aims to describe the ethnic identity of student cooperation Univesity of education Indonesia from Siak origin. The research approach used is quantitative descriptive method. Study participants was 80 students cooperation Siak origin. The instruments used in this research adapted from exploration and Commitment in the form of likert scale. The research findings indicate (1) the majority of the students cooperation Siak origin currently on ethnic identity Achieved status, (2) the formulation of guidance and counseling program for students cooperation consists of rational, the focus of development, principles of guidance and counseling, guidance and counseling strategies, step- step, support systems and measures of success. Research recommendations addressed to the counselor and the further research
