Abstract

Untuk menunjang proses kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah diperlukan media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil studi lapangan, siswa kurang memahami materi dalam mata pelajaran pemrograman dasar khususnya materi algoritma pengulangan. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis platformer game sebagai media belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran pemrograman dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang pengembangan multimedia berbasis platformer game untuk penerapan model explicit instruction pada mata pelajaran pemrograman dasar, mendapatkan data peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah mengimplementasikan multimedia berbasis platformer game pada mata pelajaran pemrograman dasar, dan mendapatkan data respon siswa terhadap multimedia. Metode pengembangan multimedia yang dilakukan terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu tahap analisis, tahap desain, tahap pengembangan, tahap implementasi, dan tahap penilaian. Dalam proses pengembangan multimedia, peneliti melakukan tahap uji validasi kepada ahli media lalu melakukan uji coba multimedia kepada 10 siswa. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sebelum menggunakan multimedia dan sesudah menggunakan multimedia, dilakukan pretest dan posttest kepada 31 siswa kelas X SMK. Hasil pretest tersebut memiliki rata-rata sebesar 42.88 sedangkan untuk hasil posttest memiliki rata-rata sebesar 60.89. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest, diperoleh nilai indeks Gain sebesar 0.32 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori “Sedang”. Sedangkan untuk hasil respon siswa terhadap multimedia diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 81.72%, termasuk ke dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”.;---To support the process of teaching and learning in school is needed multimedia learning. Based on the result of observation, the students did not understand the material in a particular subject matter of basic programming looping algorithm. Therefore, researcher developed a multimedia learning based on platformer game as a students’ learning tool in the subject of basic programming. The aim of this research is to get an overview of multimedia development based on platformer game using explicit instruction models on basic programming subject, get data improving student learning outcomes after the implantation of multimedia-based platformer game on the subjects of basic programing, and get data students’ response to the multimedia. There are five phases method of multimedia development that using in this research: analysis phase, design phase, development phase, implementation phase, and assessment phase. In the process of multimedia development, researcher conducted a validation test phase to the media expert and multimedia test to 10 students. To know improving student learning outcomes before and after using multimedia, 31 students of vocational school 10 grade did pretest and posttest. The pretest results had an average of 42.88 while for posttest result has an average of 60.89. Based on the results of pretest and posttest, the gain index is 0.32 that belongs to the category of “Medium”. As for the result of students’ response has an average of 81.72%, belongs to the category of “Very Good”.
