Abstract

This research took place at PT PLN (Persero) Central Java Transmission APP Bandung with the subject raised was the calculation of the differential relay setting 60 MVA power transformer in the substation Cigereleng 150 kV / 20 kV. The purpose of this research is to know how to perform calculations on a transformer differential relay setting power 150 kV / 20 kV. The reason the implementation of this research is to find out the results of the calculation of differential relay setting before it is applied to the differential relay apparatus, because until one in calculating the differential relay setting, there will be problems in the power transformer. The method used in this study is menyimulasikannya differential relay setting calculation results using ETAP software 12.6. The results obtained from this study for setting differential relay is optimal and can be applied. Because, aat an interruption in power transformer protection strip, the current that flows greater than the current setting of the differential relay work. However, when the interference occurs outside the area of protection of power transformer rated current that flows is smaller than the current setting, then the differential relay is not working.
