    Abstract

    Rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa dapat berimplikasi pada rendahnya prestasi belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa. Dari data studi pendahuluan menunjukkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri di Cirebon masih rendah. Translasi (52%), interpretasi (69%) dan Ekstrapolasi (78%). Oleh karena itu, peneliti berusaha untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif pada pokok bahasan suhu dan kalor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan multimedia interaktif. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Cirebon dengan menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest-posstest design. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes pemahaman konsep dan angket motivasi belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai gain dinormalisasi sebesar 0,32 dengan kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Cirebon. Therefore, researchers are trying to improve the understanding of the concept and the students' motivation to use interactive multimedia on the subject of temperature and heat. Purpose of this research is to increase understanding of the concept and motivation student learning using interactive multimedia. This research was conducted on students in one class VII Secondary School First State in Cirebon by using design research one group pretest-posttest design. As for the data collection is done by using a test conceptual understanding and learning motivation questionnaire. Based on the results obtained normalized value of 0.32 with a gain medium category. thus, it can be concluded that the use of interactive multimedia to enhance understanding of concepts and class VII students' motivation in one secondary school in Cirebon.
