Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang manfaat hasil belajar busana etnik sebagai kesiapan menjadi fashion visual merchandiser. Bidang usaha busana khususnya busana etnik membutuhkan seorang yang ahli dalam menata display atau fashion visual merchandiser untuk melakukan langkah inovatif dalam memvisualisasikan penataan produk sesuai tren dan karakteristik produsen fashion. Dalam hal ini berkaitan dengan meningkatkan daya saing produk-produk busana khususnya busana etnik dikalangan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh data mengenai manfaat hasil belajar busana etnik sebagai kesiapan menjadi fashion visual merchandiser, ditinjau dari kompetensi pemahaman materi display, materi jenis-jenis dan manfaat display hingga elemen dan prinsip penataan display. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan alat pengumpul data berupa angket. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sampel purposive sebanyak 39 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari setengahnya responden merasakan manfaat hasil belajar mata kuliah busana etnik yaitu manfaat memahami materi pengertian, tujuan, jenis-jenis, manfaat, elemen serta prinsip display. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan lebih dari setengahnya mahasiswa mengemukakan adanya manfaat hasil belajar busana etnik sebagai kesiapan menjadi fashion visual merchandiser.;---This study reviews the benefits outcomes of learning ethnic clothing as readiness to be a fashion visual merchandiser. The business sectors in particular ethnic clothing fashion require an expert in managing the visual display or fashion merchandiser to conduct innovative step, in visualizing the appropriate product structuring trends, and characteristics of the manufacturers of fashion. In this case, related to enhancing the competitiveness in fashion product, especially for ethnic clothing among the society. The purpose of this study was to obtain the data on the benefits outcomes of learning ethnic clothing as readiness to be a fashion visual merchandiser, in terms of competence comprehension display material, material types and benefits of the display until the elements and principles of the arrangement of the display. This research uses a descriptive method with data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire. The sample used in this study using a purposive sample as many as 39 people. The results showed that more than half of the respondents feel the benefits outcomes of learning the ethnic clothing subject, the benefits outcomes of understanding the material sense, purpose, types, benefits, elements, as well as the display principle. The conclusion of this study showed that more than half of the students expressed their benefits outcomes of learning ethnic clothing as readiness to be a fashion visual merchandiser.
