Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara cyberbullying dengan strategi regulasi emosi pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 398 remaja berusia 13 tahun sampai 17 tahun dari empat sekolah menengah di Kota Bandung dan diambil dengan teknik quota sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode kuesioner menggunakan instrumen cyberbullying dan instrumen strategi regulasi emosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara cyberbullying dengan strategi regulasi emosi jenis reappraisal dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara cyberbullying dengan strategi regulasi emosi jenis suppression. Tidak adanya korelasi antara kedua variabel diduga karena adanya faktor lain yang berhubungan dengan cyberbullying, seperti pengalaman sebelumnya dalam menghadapi cyberbullying, pengaruh teman sebaya, kompetensi sosial, dan lain-lain.; This research aims to investigate the correlation between cyberbullying and emotion regulation strategies on adolescents. This research used quantitative approach with correlational method. The subject of this research amounted to 383 adolescents, that are 13-17 years old from four high schools in Bandung city, and was taken using the quota sampling method. Data was collected by questionnaire using cyberbullying instruments and emotion regulation strategiesinstruments. The result showed that there is no correlation between cyberbullying and reappraisal type emotion regulation strategy and there is no correlation between cyberbullying and suppression type emotion regulation strategy. There is no correlation between the two variables, presumably because there are other factors that correlate with cyberbullying, such as previous experience in dealing with cyberbullying, influence of peers, social competence, etc.
