Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya persoalan di PT.PINDAD, terkait kerja tim. Dalam suatu kelompok kerja tentunya terdapat seorang pemimpin, untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dan menghasilkan kerja yang lebih efektif, maka digunakan kepemimpinan secara bersama dengan memberdayakan sumber daya yang ada dalam tim kerja. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada bagaimana shared leadership dapat meningkatkan team empowerment dalam membentuk team effectiveness. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental non randomized pre test-post test controlgroup design dan mengacu pada teori shared leadership dari Nathan Hiller, team empowerment dari Russell A. Matthews, Wendy Michelle Diaz and Steven G. Cole, dan team effectiveness dari Hackman. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 10 orang anggota kelompok kontrol dan 10 orang anggota kelompok eksperimen. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Measuring Shared Leadership in Work Teams untuk shared leadership, The Organizational Empowerment Scale untuk team empowerment, dan Questionnaire on Team Effectiveness untuk team effectiveness. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t sampel berpasangan (paired sampel t-test) dan anava mixed. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan skor shared leadership, team empowerment, dan team effectiveness yang diberi perlakuan dengan menerapkan shared leadership pada saat karyawan bekerja dengan yang tidak diberi perlakuan apapun. Perlakuan yang diberikan berupa shared leadership dapat meningkatkan team empowerment yang berlanjut meningkatkan team effectiveness. Sehingga, terlihat hubungan yang positif antara team empowerment dan team effectiveness. Adapun, hasil analisis deskriptif kualitatif, menunjukkan bahwa aspek yang paling mempengaruhi dalam meningkatkan team effectiveness adalah dukungan berupa pemberian kesempatan untuk menyelesaikan masalah, pengajuan pendapat, saling berbagi informasi dan pengalaman. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi mahasiswa Departemen Psikologi UPI dalam mengembangkan penelitian eksperimental lainnya. ; The backgrounds of this research is that there are problems in PT.PINDAD, which is have related with team work. In a team absolutely has a leader, unfortunately to develop employee’s skill and produce more effective result of working, so that is used a leadership with together by empowering exist resources within the work team. This research focus to increase team empowerment to create team effectiveness. This research use a quasi experimental non-randomized pre test-post test control group design and refers to theory of shared leadership by Nathan J. Hiller, theory of team empowerment by Russell A. Matthews, Wendy Michelle Diaz and Steven G. Cole, and theory of team effectiveness by Hackman. Participants in this research are 10 persons of control group and 10 persons of experiment group. The measuring scale is used in this research are Measuring Shared Leadership in Work Teams for shared leadership, The Organizational Empowerment Scale for team empowerment, and on Team Effectiveness Questionnaire for team effectiveness. Data analysis uses paired samples t test and anava mixed. The results show differences in scores of shared leadership, team empowerment, and team effectiveness are treated by applying a shared leadership at the time of the employees working with the untreated. The treatment is given in the form of shared leadership can improve the team empowerment that continues improving team effectiveness. Thus, seen a positive relationship between team empowerment and team effectiveness. Meanwhile, the results of a qualitative descriptive analysis shows that the most influential aspect in improving team effectiveness is support in giving the opportunity to resolve the problem, the filing of opinions, share information and experiences. The result is expected to be a reference for students of the Department of Psychology UPI in developing other experimental research.
