Abstract

Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efektivitas strategi Teaching Personal Social Responsibility (TPSR) dengan pendekatan saintifik dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas 11 Sekolah menengah Atas (SMA) Lab School UPI, tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster sampling kemudian diambil 4 kelas secara intake class sehingga seluruh sampel berjumlah 122 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah adaptasi Tool for Assessing Responsibility-Based Education (TARE) Observation, sementara itu analisis data menggunakan Ankova Faktorial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kelompok strategi pembinaan karakter (F = 30.12, p = 0.000), selain itu hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kelompok pendekatan pembelajaran (F = 3.068, p = 0.082). Hasil analisis ankova juga menyatakan terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembinaan karakter dan pendekatan pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab siswa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa strategi Teaching Personal Social Responsibility (TPSR) dengan pendekatan saintifik lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan startegi konvensional dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab siswa..; The aim of this research was to test the effectiveness of Teaching Personal Social Responsibility (TPSR) strategy with scientific approach in enhancing student's responsibility. This research using a quasi experimental method with factorial design. Sample of this research were senior high school students of Lab School UPI as many as 122 people. The instrument used was an adaptation of Tool for Assessing Responsibility-Based Education (TARE) Observation, while the data analysis using ANCOVA factorial. The results showed there was significant differences in character development strategy group (F = 30.12, p = 0.000), the research also showed that there was no significant differences in learning approach group (F = 3,068, p = 0082). ANCOVA analysis also showed there was an interaction between the character development strategy and learning approaches in enhancing student's responsibility. The conclusion of this research stated that Teaching Personal Social Responsibility (TPSR) strategy with the scientific approach is more effective than the conventional strategy in enhancing the student's responsibility.
