Abstract

Kupu-kupu merupakan hewan liar yang menarik karena keindahannya. Populasinya sangat bergantung pada tanaman inang sebagai sumber energinya dalam setiap fase kehidupannya. Fase larva merupakan fase yang sangat vital sebelum menjadi dewasa karena rawannya berbagai faktor seperti berkurangnya ketersediaan tanaman inang, rusaknya lingkungan, predator dan parasitoid. Upaya konservasi dilakukan untuk menanggulangi masalah ini. Graphium agamemnon adalah salahsatu spesies dari family Papilionidae yang merupakan kupu-kupu paling diminati. Diketahui bahwa larva Graphium agamemnon hidup pada inang yang tergolong family Annonaceae dan Magnoliaceae tetapi belum diteliti sebelumnya keberadaannya pada tanaman Piperaceae. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan fase larva Graphium agamemnon pada ketiga tanaman inang yaitu Polyalthia longifolia, Annona muricata dan Piper aduncum. Metode penelitian ini ialah Rancagan Acak Lengkap karena menggunakan kondisi lingkungan, media, alat dan bahan yang homogen. Pengamatan meliputi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan Graphium agamemnon dari telur hingga menjadi imago (kupu-kupu dewasa) dengan parameter yaitu jumlah kesintasan individu, lama perkembangan dan pertambahan tumbuh. Penelitian dilakukan pada suhu berkisar 26 – 28o C dan kelembaban berkisar 82 – 83% dengan rata-rata 82.70 ± 0.46%. Setiap larva akan diberikan pakan berupa helaian daun secara ad libitum (sesuai kebutuhan larva) satu kali sehari, dengan jumlah porsi yang relatif sama di tingkat fasenya. Pemberian pakan ini dilakukan selama fase larva yang berkisar antara 20 – 21 hari. Hasil menunjukkan Polyalthia longifolia memiliki persentase sintas tertinggi 100%, Annona muricata menunjukkan larva yang berkembang paling singkat yaitu 34.96 ± 6.24 hari, dan pertumbuhan terbesar ditunjukkan oleh larva pada Piper aduncum.;Butterflies are fascinating wild animals because of its beauty. Its population is highly dependent on the host plant as a source of energy in every phase of life. Larval stage is a vital phase before becoming an adult because of the susceptibility of a variety of factors such as reduced availability of host plants, environmental damage, predators and parasitoids. The conservation efforts made to tackle these problems. Graphium agamemnon is one of the main species of the family Papilionidae butterflies which are most in demand. G. agamemnon known that the larvae live on the host that pertained family Annonaceae and Magnoliaceae but have not been studied previously Piperaceae presence in plants. This study aimed to compare the growth and development of the larval stages of G. agamemnon at the third plant host is Polyalthia longifolia, Annona muricata and Piper aduncum. This research method is RAL for using environmental conditions, media, tools and materials are homogeneous. Observations included G. agamemnon's growth and development from egg to become imago (adult butterflies) with the parameters of the number of individual survival, development and expansion of growing old. The study was conducted at temperatures ranging from 26 – 28o C and humidity ranging from 82 – 83% with an average of 82.70 ± 12.46%. Each larva will be given in the form of the leaf blade feed ad libitum (as needed larvae) once a day, with the number of servings same relative phase level. The feeding is done during the larval stages that range between 20 – 21 days. Results showed survive P. longifolia has the highest percentage of 100%, A. muricata showed growing larvae shortest namely 34.96 ± 6.24 today, and the biggest growth was shown by the larvae at P. aduncum.
