Abstract
ABSTRAK Setiap anak memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda, begitupun seorang tunarungu. Pada dasarnya mereka memiliki kesulitan yang sama yaitu salah satunya dalam berkomunikasi verbal, namun keterampilan komunikasi verbal yang dimiliki oleh setiap individu tunarungu berbeda antara yang satu dengan yang lainnya. Fokus peneliti ini diarahkan pada bagaimanakah keterampilan komunikasi verbal pada siswa tunarungu remaja di SLBN B Pembina Sumedang,bagaimana pemahaman orang tua tentang hakekat dan dampak terhadap perkembangan komunikasi verbal anak tunarungu, bagaimana pembelajaran guru di sekolah dalam mengembangkan komunikasi verbal, bagaimana upaya pengembangan dan hambatan yang dihadapi oleh guru dan orang tua. Secara umum tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan komunikasi verbal tunarungu remaja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kulaitatif yaitu mengungkap fakta, keadaan, fenomena, variable dan keadaan yang terjadi saat penelitian berjalan dan menyuguhkan apa adanya. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat dilihat bahwa faktor-faktor yang melatar belakangi keterampilan komunikasi verbal tunarungu remaja di SLBN-B Pembina Sumedang terdiri dari beberapa faktor yang mencakup (1) Pembelajaran komunikasi verbal sejak dini (2) Latihan yang dilakukan secara berulang; (3) Motivasi. Faktor-faktor tersebut sangat berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan komunikasi verbal tunarungu remaja di SLBN-B pembina Sumedang ini. ABSTRACT Every child has different capabilities, as well as a deaf person. Basically, they have the same difficulty is one of them in communicating verbally, but verbal communication skills possessed by each individual with hearing impairment is different from each other. The focus of research is directed at how verbal communication skills in students of deaf teenagers in SLBN B Pembina Sumedang, how the understanding of parents about the nature and impact on the development of verbal communication of a deaf child, how teacher learning in school in developing verbal communication, how the development effort and obstacles faced by teachers and parents. The general objective of this study was to determine the factors that affect the verbal communication skills of deaf teenagers. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method is to uncover the facts, circumstances, phenomena, variables and circumstances that occurred while running the research and presenting what it is. From these results it can be seen that the factors of the background for the verbal communication skills of deaf teenagers in SLBN-B Sumedang Trustees consists of several factors that include (1) Learning early verbal communication (2) Exercise carried out repeatedly; (3) Motivation. These factors greatly influence the development of verbal communication of deaf teenagers in SLBN-B Pembina Sumedang.
