Abstract

Pertumbuhan kinerja bisnis jasa kurir di Indonesia dalam kurun waktu 5 tahun cenderung stagnan. Persentase ketercapaian kinerja penjualan yang masih sulit mencapai target sert apertumbuhan laba yang relatif kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Kekuatan Lingkungan Eksternal (External Environmental Forces) dan Sumber Daya Perusahaan (Company Resources) pengaruhnya terhadap Orientasi Strategis (Strategic Orientation), Kapabilitas Serap (Absorptive Capability), dan Kreasi Nilai (Value Creation) serta implikasinya terhadap Kinerja Bisnis (Business Performance) industri jasa kurir di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan verifikatif terhadap sampel berukuran 72 Unit analisisnya adalah perusahaan jasa kurir yang beroperasi di berbagai daerah di Indonesia yang sebagian besar kantor pusatnya di Jakarta. Time horizon dalam penelitian ini adalah cross sectional, penelitian dilakukan pada waktu tertentu. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan kuesioner dan wawancara terhadap manajemen perusahaan. Analisis verifikatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Partial Least Square (PLS). Temuan memperlihatkan bahwa Kekuatan Lingkungan Eksternal dan Sumber Daya Perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap Orientasi Strategis, Kapabilitas Serap, Kreasi Nilai, dan Kinerja Bisnis. Kekuatan Lingkungan Eksternal lebih dominan dalam mempengaruhi Orientasi Strategis, sedangkan Sumber Daya Perusahaan lebih dominan dalam mempengaruhi Kapabilitas Serap dan Kreasi Nilai. Orientasi Strategis berpengaruh terhadap Kapabilitas Serap. Orientasi Strategis dan Kapabilitas Serap secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap Kreasi Nilai dan Kinerja Bisnis. Orientasi Strategis berpengaruh lebih besar dibandingkan Kapabilitas Serap terhadap Kinerja Bisnis. Kreasi Nilai berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja Bisnis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sumber Daya Perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap Kapabilitas Serap untuk meningkatkan Kreasi Nilai dan Kinerja Bisnis. Namun demikian besarnya pengaruh tersebut dihadapkan pada permasalahan belum optimalnya pengembangan Sumber Daya Perusahaan yang meliputi aspek aset berwujud dan aset tidak berwujud, yang menyebabkan belum optimalnya Kapabilitas Serap perusahaan sebagai upaya penciptaan Kreasi Nilai untuk meningkatkan Kinerja Bisnis. Kata kunci : Kapabilitas Serap, Kekuatan Lingkungan Eksternal, Kreasi Nilai, Sumber Daya Perusahaan, Orientasi Strategis The growth of business performance of courier service industry in Indonesia in the last 5 years is likely to stagnate. The percentage of target achievement of sales performance is still difficult to achieve and profit growth is relatively small. This study aims to analyze the data and information on External Environmental Forces and Company Resources on Strategic Orientation, Absorptive Capability, Value Creation and their implication on Business Performance of courier service industry in Indonesia. The nature of this research is descriptive and verificative. The unit of analysis is the courier service industry, and a sample of 72 courier companies from various regions in Indonesia. Time horizon is cross-sectional, where the research is done at a certain time. Primary data is collected by a questionnaire and interviews with management of the companies.. The analysis is done by using the model verification Partial Least Square (PLS). The findings show that the External Environmental Forces and Company Resources have the positive affect on the Strategic Orientation, Absorptive Capability, Value Creation, and Business Performance. External Environmental Forces have a more dominant influence on Strategic Orientation, while the Company Resources have a more dominant influence on Absorptive Capability and Value Creation. Strategic Orientation influence on the Absorptive Capability. Strategic Orientation and Absorptive Capability simultaneously have the positive influence on the Value Creation and Business Performance. Strategic Orientation have a greater influence than Absorptive Capability on Business Performance. Value Creation influence Business Performance. The results show that Company Resources have the positive impact on Absorptive Capability to increase Value Creation and Business Performance. However, the magnitude of the influence is faced on the problems of inoptimal development of Company Resources on the aspects of tangible and intangible assets. The condition make companies could not optimal in Absorptive Capability as well as Value Creation to improve Business Performance.
