Abstract

Permasalahan yang penulis ajukan pada penelitian ini mengenai bentuk latihan untuk meningkatkan power tungkai. Dalam permainan bola basket power tungkai sangat penting dalam kemampuan kondisi fisik seorang pemain basket. Oleh karena itu peneliti ingin melakukan penelitian mengenai “Pengaruh Latihan Plyometrics dan Weight Training dengan Metode Pyramid System Terhadap Peningkatan Power Tungkai Pemain Basket”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan teknik pengambilan sampel, purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa ekstrakurikuler bolabasket SMA Bintang Mulia Bandung sebanyak 12 orang. Sampel dibagi kedalam dua kelompok dengan teknik ABBA yang terdiri dari 6 orang tiap kelompok. Kelompok 1 diberi perlakuan berupa latihan plyometrics dan kelompok 2 diberi perlakuan latihan weight training dengan metode pyramid system. berdasarkan dari hasil pengolahan data dan analisis data diperoleh temuan bahwa kedua bentuk latihan memberikan peningkatan terhadap power tungkai, dengan peningkatan latihan plyometrics sebesar 6,9 %, dan latihan weight training meningkat sebesar 4,9%. Kedua bentuk latihan memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap power tungkai, hal ini didasarkan pada hasil uji hipotesis yang menunjukkan hasil t-hitung = 10,53 yang lebih besar dari t-tabel = 2,57 pada taraf signifikansi = 0,05 untuk latihan plyometrics, sedangkan untuk latihan weight training dengan metode pyramid system diperoleh t-hitung 5,41 yang lebih besar dari t-tabel = 2,57 pada taraf signifikansi = 0,05. Dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari kedua metode latihan tersebut sebesar 2,12. ---------- The problem which is analyzed in this study is the form of body exercises to increase leg’s power. In the basketball games, it is very important to see physical ability of basketball players through their leg’s power. Thus, the researcher needs to do the research about “the effect of plyometrics and weight training’s exercises using pyramid system method to enhance the power of basketball players’ leg. The method of this research is using experimental method with sampling technique, purposive sampling. The samples in this research are 12 basketball extracurricular students at Bintang Mulia High school. Samples are divided into two groups in ABBA technique which consist of six students in each group. Group I is given a treatment in plyometrics exercises term and group 2 is given a weight training exercises with pyramid system method. Based on the result of data process and data analysis, it is known that the two kinds of exercises give the effect to the leg’s power, with plyometric exercises increasing to 6.9% and weight training exercises increasing to 4.9%. The two kinds of exercises give significant effect to the leg’s power. The result is taken based on hypothesis result which show t-hitung is 10,53 which is bigger than t-tabel=2,57 in significant level=0,05 for plyometrics exercises, meanwhile for weight training exercises using pyramid system method, the result for t-hitung is 5,41 which is bigger than t-tabel =2,57 with significant level=0,05 and there is a significant difference between the two methods in the amount of 2,12.
