Abstract

Beton adalah material bangunan yang memiliki kuat tekan yang tinggi. Beton yang memiliki ketahanan tinggi disebut beton yang durable. Beton dengan durabilitas tinggi memiliki porositas yang rendah juga tahan terhadap pengaruh lingkungan. Untuk menurunkan nilai porositas beton, dibutuhkan suatu bahan untuk mengisi pori pada beton (filler). Dalam penelitian ini, filler yang digunakan adalah serbuk limbah marmer. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kadar optimum penambahan limbah marmer terhadap nilai kuat tekan dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan sulfat terhadap beton. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan sulfat, beton yang telah di curing pada air biasa selama 28 hari akan direndam pada air yang mengandung MgSO4 dengan kadar 5% dari air rendaman. Pengujian yang dilakukan yaitu meliputi slump test dan uji kuat tekan pada usia beton 28, 45 dan 60 hari. Terdapat lima variasi campuran limbah marmer yang ditambahkan yaitu 10%, 12.5%, 15%, 17.5% dan 20% dari berat semen. Penambahan limbah marmer berpengaruh pada peningkatan kuat tekan beton. Kuat tekan tertinggi dari seluruh variasi campuran limbah marmer yaitu pada persentase 17,5%. Hasil uji pada usia 28, 45 dan 60 hari dengan curing normal secara berturut-turut adalah 30.27 Mpa, 33.81 Mpa dan 35.42 Mpa. Kemudian hasil uji beton dengan perendaman sulfat pada usia 45 dan 60 hari adalah 32.76 Mpa dan 34.66 Mpa. Beton yang direndam dalam sulfat tetap mengalami peningkatan kuat tekan, namun tidak semaksimal beton dengan curing normal. Selain dari hasil kuat tekan, serangan sulfat juga dapat terlihat dari permukaan sampel beton yaitu munculnya corak berwarna putih dan kuning. ---------- Concrete is a building material that has a high compressive strength. A concrete that has a high resistance is called a durable concrete. Concrete with a high durability has a low value of porosity and also has a resistant to environmental influences. To lower the value of porosity, it takes a material to fill the pores in the concrete (filler). In this research, filler used is the powder of marble waste. This research was conducted to determine the optimum level of addition of marble waste on the compressive strength of concrete and to determine the environmental influence of sulfate on concrete. To determine the influence of sulfate environtment, concrete that has been cured in plain water for 28 days is going to be soaked in water containing MgSO4 with levels of 5% of the soaking water. The tests that were carried out are slump test and compressive strength test of concrete at the age of 28, 45 and 60 days. There are five variants of the mixture of marble waste addition, they are 10%, 12.5%, 15%, 17.5% and 20% of the cement weight. The addition of marble waste has influence on increasing the compressive strength of concrete. The highest compressive strength of all variations of marble waste mixture is at a percentage of 17.5%. The test results at age 28, 45 dan 60 days with normal curing in a row is 30.27 Mpa, 33.81 Mpa and 25.42 Mpa. And the test results of concrete with immersion sulfate at the age of 45 and 60 days is 32.76 Mpa and 34.66 Mpa. Concrete soaked in sulfate solution has an increased compressive strength, but not as much as concrete with normal curing. Apart from the results of comprassive strength, sulfate attack can also be seen from the surface of the concrete sample with the emergence of white and yellow shades.
