Abstract
Pada era globalisasi, Perilaku menunda sangat merugikan. Sebab, pada era ini berlaku nilai siapa yang mampu dan produktif, dialah yang akan berhasil. Perilaku menunda tersebut adalah perilaku Prokrastinasi. Perilaku prokrastinasi akademik biasanya dilakukan oleh siswa yang kurang berprestasi namun peneliti ingin melihat lebih jauh apakah disetiap siswa yang berprestasi pernah melakukan prokrastinasi akademik, serta apa penyebab siswa itu melakukan prokrastinasi akademik. Perilaku prokrastinasi dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor dari faktor keluarga yang terdekat hingga faktor lingkungan sosial. Pada skripsi ini mendeskripsikan dan menyimpulkan bagaimana peran orang tua dalam mengurangi perilaku prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analaitik dengan subjek siswa kelas 8 SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung. Setelah dilakuakn penelitian terhadap siswa serta orang tua diperoleh temuan bahwa peran orang tua sangat berpengaruh dalam membentuk kepribadian anak yang terhindar dari perilaku prokrastinasi akademik. Kata kunci: Prokrastinasi akademik, Keluarga, Orang tua In the era of globalization, delay behavior is very harm. Because, in this era apply the value of whoever being productive, then he/she will get succeed. That delay behavior is Procrastination. The academic procrastinator is usually performed by underachiever students, but researchers want to look further if high achiever ever did procrastination, as well as what the cause of the student did academic procrastination. Procrastination behavior is influenced by many factors it could be come from family or their social environment. This paper describe and deduce how the role of parents in reducing academic procrastination behavior. This study used descriptive analytic with subject 8th grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung. After doing research on students and parents, it was found that the role of parents are very influential in shaping the personality of children who be spared from academic procrastination behavior.
