Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kinerja Manajerial Kepala Madrasah Aliyah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat”. Penelitian ini mengangkat masalah mengenai kinerja manajerial Kepala Madrasah Aliyah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Hal ini dilihat dari hasil penilaian kinerja yang dilakukan oleh pengawas madrasah aliyah bahwa Kepala Madrasah Aliyah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat masih cenderung kurang dalam aspek manajerial dibandingkan dengan aspek kinerja lainnya. Hal ini didasarkan dari data Laporan Pertanggung Jawaban (LPJ) Bantuan Operasional Manajemen Mutu (BOMM) yang masuk ke Kementrian Agama Kabupaten Bandung Barat, data LPJ yang masuk seharusnya ada 62 LPJ, akan tetapi kenyataannya yang masuk ke Kementrian Agama itu hanya sekitar 80% saja, hal ini menunjukkan 20% Kepala Madrasah yang tidak membuat LPJ, belum paham dan mengerti mengenai manajerial sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket tertutup dengan menggunakan skala likert (lima skala penilaian). Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh Kepala Madrasah Aliyah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang berjumlah 62 orang. Teknik sampel yang digunakan yaitu total sampling sehingga seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kecederungan umum dengan menggunakan teknik WMS (Weight Mean Score) diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa kecederungan umum motivasi kerja kepala madrasah aliyah berada dalam kategori baik dan kecenderungan umum kinerja manajerial kepala madrasah aliyah pun berada pada kategori baik. Hasil uji normalitas distribusi data menunjukkan bahwa data kedua variabel berdistribusi normal. Perhitungan koefisien korelasi menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh yang rendah terhadap kinerja manajerial kepala madrasah aliyah. Hasil uji signifikansi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh motivasi kerja memiliki korelasi yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja manajerial kepala madrasah aliyah. Hasil uji determinasi dan analisis regresi dapat dilihat bahwa motivasi kerja dapat menentukan kinerja manajerial kepala madrasah aliyah. Adapun faktor lain yang dapat menentukan kinerja manajerial kepala madrasah aliyah diantaranya kemampuan, keterampilan, kepemimpinan, imbalan, persepsi, sikap dan lain-lain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan dapat diterima, artinya motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja manajerial Kepala Madrasah Aliyah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Adapun implikasi apabila motivasi kerja kurang baik yaitu tertundanya pelaksanaan program kerja madrasah, terbengkalainya tugas-tugas kepala madrasah, para guru dan staf menjadi tidak semangat bekerja, dan sebagainya. Sedangkan untuk kinerja manajerial jika organizing kurang baik, maka akan muncul dampak dimana para guru dan staf tidak tau apa yang harus dikerjakan karena tugas pokok dan fungsi yang diberikan tidak jelas, adanya kekuasaan yang saling bertubrukan, adanya guru atau staf yang double job, kerja sama antar anggota organisasi lemah, pelaksanaan pekerjaan yang tidak efektif dan efisien karena bukan ditangani oleh orang yang tepat atau ahli, dan sebagainya. Untuk mencegah hal ini, menerapkan sistem remunerasi (tunjangan kinerja) bagi kepala madrasah, menyelenggarakan diklat terkait manajerial, di Kelompok Kerja Madrasah (KKM), memberikan atau mengikuti training motivation. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Kerja; Kinerja Manajerial; Kepala Madrasah. This study entitled “Pengaruh Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kinerja Manajerial Kepala Madrasah Aliyah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat”. This study was concerning the issue related to managerial performance of Madrasah Aliyah headmaster in West Bandung Regency. It is seen from the result of performance assessment carried out by the Madrasah Aliyah supervisors that the head of Madrasah Aliyah in West Bandung Regency tends to lack of managerial aspect compared to other performance aspects. It is based on the data report or LPJ (Laporan Pertanggung Jawaban) of Bantuan Operasional Manajemen Mutu (BOMM) or Accountability Operational Assistance Quality Management which received by Ministry of Religion in West Bandung Regency, supposed to be 62 data reports. However, it was only 80% data reports had been received by the Ministry, while the 20% of Madrasah Headmaster who did not make their data reports, did not understand how to make data reports and school management. This study was using descriptive method and also used quantitative approach. The technique for data collection was closed questionnaire which used Likert scale (five scales of assessment). The population of this study was all the headmasters of Madrasah Aliyah in West Bandung Regency, which about 62 people. The writer used total sampling as its sampling technique. Based on the general tendency by WMS (Weight Mean Score) technique, the motivation of madrasah aliyah headmaster tend to in the good category also the managerial performance in good category. The distribution normality test showed that two variables were distributed normally. The calculation of correlation coefficient showed that working motivation had a low influence to managerial performance of madrasah aliyah headmasters. The significant test showed that working motivation had positive correlation and significantly influenced the madrasah aliyah headmaster managerial performance. Moreover, determination and regression analysis tests showed that working motivation determined the managerial performance of madrasah aliyah headmasters. There were also the other factors which determined the managerial performance of madrasah aliyah headmasters, which are ability, skills, leadership, reward, perception, attitude and many else. The result of this study proved that the hypothesis was accepted, which means working motivation had a significant and positive influence to Madrasah Aliyah headmasters in West Bandung Regency. There were implications that the working motivation is bad which caused the delaying school working programs, abandonment the headmasters’ tasks, the unmotivated teachers and so on. While if the managerial performance was not well-organized, it would cause effect that teachers and staff members did not know that to do, and their job desk; collision power; ‘double job’ cases for teachers and staffs; low of cooperation between teachers and staffs; ineffective and inefficient jobs caused did not done by the proper people. To prevent these problems, it supposed to be better to apply remuneration system (performance allowance) for headmasters, made a training program related to school management in Working Group Madrasah and gave or joined a motivation training.
