Abstract

Pembelajaran pada pendidikan kejuruan harus dapat menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki kompetensi profesional sesuai dengan tuntutan dunia kerja sebagai bentuk adaptasi awal terhadap lingkungan kerja. Pembelajaran pada pendidikan kejuruan di Indonesia sebagian besar menggunakan model project-based learning (PjBL), yaitu pendekatan pembelajaran yang bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi siswa terutama aspek psikomotor melalui kegiatan praktikum. Penerapan model PjBL ini telah teruji dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam merancang project dan memecahkan permasalahan otentik, namun belum dapat menyajikan kompetensi kerja secara nyata, sehingga penerapan model PjBL pada pendidikan kejuruan perlu dikolaborasikan dengan model pedagogi PEPPER yang memiliki karakteristik adopsi kompetensi kerja secara nyata dan menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang berpusat pada aktifitas belajar siswa serta menyesuaikan pembelajaran dengan karakter belajar siswa pada pendidikan kejuruan. Kolaborasi kedua model ini dilakukan melalui penelitian mix-method yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan desain model pedagogi hibrida PjBL-PEPPER. Secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sintaks model hibrida PjBL-PEPPER, menyusun perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik model hibrida PjBL-PEPPER serta melakukan eksperimen kuantitatif penerapan model hibrida PjBL-PEPPER pada pembelajaran Jaringan Komputer. Penelitian ini memberikan hasil bahwa penerapan model pedagogi hibrida PjBL-PEPPER pada pembelajaran Jaringan Komputer dinilai efektif untuk mencapai kompetensi kerja, sehingga penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi penerapan model hibrida PjBL PEPPER untuk peningkatan mutu pendidikan kejuruan kepada berbagai pihak, diantaranya kepada pemerintah dan fasilitator pendidikan di sekolah baik untuk pimpinan maupun fasilitator pembelajaran untuk menggunakan model hibrida PjBL-PEPPER dalam pembelajaran. Rekomendasi ini juga disampaikan kepada dunia usaha/industri agar dapat menyajikan struktur yang detail mengenai standar kompetensi kerja agar dapat ditindak lanjuti dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Project-based learning models (PjBL) as the learning approach that aims to improve the competence of students primarily psychomotor aspects through practical activities was mostly pedagogical models used in Indonesian vocational education, The PjBL model application has been proven to improve student's skills in designing projects and solving authentic problems, but can not present a real job competence, so that the application of the PjBL model of vocational education needs to be collaborated with PEPPER pedagogical models that have characteristics significantly adoption work competence and apply students centered learning activities to adjust the character of students in vocational education. Collaboration of this model was done through a mix-method study that aims to design a hybrid model of pedagogy PjBL-PEPPER. Specifically, this study aims to establish syntax hybrid model PjBL-PEPPER, learning tools used in accordance with the characteristics of the hybrid model, beside perform quantitative experiments implementation of the hybrid model PjBL-PEPPER on Computer Network learing. This study provides results that the implementation of the hybrid model of PjBL-PEPPER pedagogy in Computer Networks learning considered effective for achieving job competence, so that the study provides recommendations PjBL-PEPPER application of a hybrid model for improving the quality of vocational education to the various parties, including the government and education facilitator at school for both leaders and facilitators of learning to use a hybrid model PjBL-PEPPER in learning. This recommendation was also submitted to the business / industry in order to present a detailed structure of the work competency standards to be followed up in learning at school.
