Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberadaan home industri keripik tike di Desa Jumbleng yang belum terkondisikan dan mengalami kesulitan dalam pemenuhan bahan baku. Tetapi memiliki peluang untuk berkembang mengingat harga jual yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi usaha keripik tike serta menganalisis hubungan tersebut dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi pengusaha dan mengidentifikasi upayanya dalam mengatasi permasalahan home industri keripik tike di Desa Jumbleng Kecamatan Losarang Kabupaten Indramayu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Variabel penelitian meliputi variabel bebas adalah faktor-faktor produksi (bahan baku, tenaga kerja dan pemasaran) dan variabel terikatnya adalah kondisi sosial ekonomi pengusaha keripik tike (pendapatan, pendidikan, kesehatan, kondisi rumah dan kepemilikan fasilitas hidup). Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh pengusaha keripik tike berjumlah 51 orang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis persentase, tabulasi silang, korelasi pearson’s (r) dan korelasi eta (n). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa usaha ini terkendala pada bahan baku, tetapi keberadaan tenaga kerja yang selalu dibutuhkan dan pemasaran yang mencapai luar wilayah setempat dapat mendukung produksi keripik tike tetap bertahan. Dari Analisis data menunjukan terdapat hubungan antara faktor-faktor produksi dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi pengusaha keripik tike. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari tingginya hubungan faktor bahan baku, tenaga kerja, serta pemasaran dengan pendapatan. Dan dilihat dari tingginya hubungan antara produksi yang dihasilkan dengan pendapatan, tujuan berobat, kondisi rumah dan kepemilikan kendaraan pengusaha serta hubungan sedang dengan kepemilikan alat elektronik dan hubungan rendah dengan pendidikan anak. Upaya pengusaha mengatasi permasalahan bahan baku dan kurangnya pengelolaan usaha yaitu dengan melakukan rintingan agar dapat berproduksi di musim hujan dan mengajukan bantuan modal serta nomor registrasi produk untuk pembuatan cap/label sehingga dapat membantu kelancaran produksi maupun promosi dalam pemasaran This research is supported by the existence of Tike chips home industries in Jumbleng village which have not been conditioned and experienced difficulty in the fulfillment of the raw material. But have a chance to be developed considering the high selling prices. This research aims to identify the dominant factors influence Tike chips home industry, analyzing the relationship of production factors and the condition of social and economic of the enterpreneurs, and to identify the problems solving in the Tike chips home industry in Jumbleng village, Losarang, Indramayu. The research method is descriptive method. The variable of this research are independent variable which is production factors (raw materials, labor and marketing) and the dependent variable which is the condition of social and economic of the Tike chips home industry (income, educational background, health condition, housing and living facilities ownership). The sample of this research is all Tike chips entrepreneurs with the total of 51 people. The technique of analyzing the data was using percentage analysis, cross tabulation, pearson correlations (r) and eta correlations (n). The result shows that this home industry is struggled with the raw material, yet the labor potential and need are met and the exporting to the adjacent area in the marketing supports the industry to run. The data analysis suggests that there is relationship between the factors of production with the condition of social and economic of the entrepreneurs of Tike chips industry which can be seen from the strong relationship of raw material, factors, labor, and marketing awith the income. Other relationship also can be seen between the production result and the choice of medical treatment, the condition of living places, the ownership of vehicles and the relationship with the electronic devices ownership and the education achievement of the children which is low relationship. The efforts to overcome those problems are conducting rintingan (traditional way of material storage) in order to be productive in the rainy season, proposing capital assistance and registration number product to the government for the sake of the good flow of promotion.
