Abstract
Kelompok Bidang Keahlian (KBK) Produksi dan Perancangan (PP) kurang memperoleh gambaran pengaplikasian yang jelas dan variatif dari setiap materi kuliah yang telah diterima. Atas dasar inilah, perlu dilakukan suatu penelitian mengenai studi relevansi materi Mata Kuliah Fisika Teknik dan Kimia Teknik dengan materi Materi Mata Kuliah Keahlian Bidang Studi (MKKBS) di Departemen Pendidikan Teknik Mesin (DPTM) KBK PP. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah materi Mata Kuliah Fisika Teknik dan Kimia Teknik serta materi MKKBS pada kurikulum 2013 DPTM dengan dosen pengampu MKKBS KBK PP sebagai respondennya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan deskripsi relevansi materi dan pemetaan sekuen antara materi Mata Kuliah Fisika Teknik dan Kimia Teknik dengan materi MKKBS. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik dokumentasi, wawancara, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi Mata Kuliah Fisika Teknik yang berjumlah 13 materi belum sepenuhnya mendukung seluruh materi yang diperlukan oleh MKKBS, sedangkan materi Mata Kuliah Kimia Teknik yang berjumlah tujuh materi sudah sepenuhnya mendukung seluruh materi yang diperlukan oleh MKKBS. Diharapkan dosen pengampu Mata Kuliah Fisika Teknik dapat menambahkan materi Rectifier (Alat Pengubah Arus AC menjadi Arus DC) dan materi Arus Searah (DC) dan Metode Pengubah Arus AC Menjadi DC. Bagi pihak DPTM diharapkan dapat mensosialisasikan dokumen pemetaan relevansi materi yang telah dihasilkan kepada dosen dan mahasiswa, sedangkan bagi mahasiswa diharapkan dapat menjadikan dokumen pemetaan relevansi materi sebagai bahan acuan dalam merencanakan perkuliahan. The Group of Expertise (KBK) in the field of Production and Design (PP) less obtain clear and varied depiction towards application from every course that have been received. According to this, a research about the Study of Material Relevance in Physic and Chemistry Engineering Courses Relate to The Subject of Expertise in The Field of Production and Design Study, Department of Mechanical Engineering Education (DPTM) KBK PP. Subjects of the research are Physics and Chemistry Engineering and The Subject Field of Expertise (MKKBS) Course on curriculum 2013 DPTM with the lecturer of the subject as respondent. The aim of the study is to produce description of material relevance and sequence mapping between Physics and Chemistry Engineering Course and the MKKBS course. Method used is analytic descriptive method by collecting data through technical documentation, interview, and questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the material subjects of Physic Engineering which is included 13 materials have not fully supported all of the material that is required by MKKBS, whilst the material subject of Chemistry Engineering which is included seven materials has fully supported all of the material that is required by MKKBS. It is expected that lecturer of Physics Engineering could add material of Rectifier (converts AC into DC current flows) and material Direct Current (DC) and Method to modify AC into DC. The DPTM is also expected to disseminate the material relevance mapping documents that have been produced to the faculty and students, while the students are expected to make the mapping document of material relevance as a reference in planning lectures.
