Abstract

Stroke adalah keadaan di mana fungsi otak terganggu secara tiba-tiba karena masalah peredaran otak. Stroke memiliki dampak jangka panjang bukan hanya selama perawatan di Rumah Sakit tetapi juga setelah pulang ke rumah, menyebabkan pasien bergantung penuh pada keluarga. Hal ini, peran keluarga menjadi salah satu pendukung yang paling penting. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peran keluarga dalam mendukung kemandirian pasien pasca stroke di Poli Klinik Saraf Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Umar Wirahadikusumah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Sample pada penelitian ini yaitu 93 orang, pengambilan sample menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk peran keluarga yaitu kuesioner peran family caregiver pasien pasca stroke. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran keluarga dalam mendukung kamandirian pasien pasca stroke pada 93 responden tergolong baik, dengan jumlah 47 (50,5%) responden. Hal ini, dapat dilihat dari berbagai aspek dukungan keluarga seperti pemberian motivasi, bantuan dalam aktivitas sehari-hari, perhatian terhadap kebutuhan emosional serta keterlibatan dalam proses pemulihan pasien. Kata Kunci : Peran keluarga, Stroke. Stroke is a condition in which brain function is suddenly disrupted due to problems with cerebral circulation. Stroke has long-term impacts not only during hospitalization but also after returning home, causing patients to be fully dependent on their families. In this case, the role of the family is one of the most important supporters. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the role of the family is in supporting the independence of post-stroke patients at the Neurology Polyclinic of Umar Wirahadikusumah Regional General Hospital. The research method used in this study is descriptive quantitative. The sampling in this study was 93 people, sampling used purposive sampling. The measuring instrument used for the role of the family was the questionnaire on the role of family caregivers of post-stroke patients. The results of the study showed that the role of the family in supporting the independence of post-stroke patients in 93 respondents was classified as good, with a total of 47 (50.5%) respondents. This can be seen from various aspects of family support such as providing motivation, assistance in daily activities, attention to emotional needs and involvement in the patient's recovery process.
