Abstract
Peternakan domba merupakan salah satu sektor yang berperan penting dalam penyediaan protein hewani, namun masih banyak peternak yang kesulitan dalam memantau kondisi iklim mikro di dalam kandang secara real-time. Ketika suhu dan kelembaban lingkungan tidak terpantau dengan baik, domba berisiko mengalami stres yang berdampak pada kesehatan dan produktivitasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan prototype sistem monitoring iklim mikro berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) pada peternakan domba dengan fitur alarm notifikasi pencegahan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan akan sistem pemantauan otomatis yang tidak hanya memberikan data, tetapi juga mampu memberikan peringatan dini sebagai bentuk tindakan preventif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan perancangan sistem, implementasi perangkat keras dan lunak, pengujian fungsionalitas, serta evaluasi akurasi dan respons sistem. Sistem dibangun menggunakan sensor DHT22, mikrokontroler ESP32, dan platform Blynk, serta diintegrasikan dengan fitur alarm dan notifikasi email. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem memiliki tingkat akurasi sebesar 98,75% untuk suhu dan 96,35% untuk kelembaban, serta mampu mengirimkan peringatan secara otomatis ketika parameter lingkungan melebihi ambang batas. Penambahan fitur alarm notifikasi sebagai sistem pencegahan merupakan inovasi dari penelitian ini, yang berkontribusi dalam mendukung manajemen peternakan domba yang lebih efisien dan responsif terhadap perubahan iklim mikro. Sheep farming is one of the essential sectors in meeting the demand for animal-based protein. However, many farmers still face difficulties in monitoring the microclimate conditions inside the sheep barn in real-time. Unmonitored temperature and humidity levels may cause thermal stress in sheep, which affects their health and productivity. This study aims to design and develop a prototype of a microclimate monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), equipped with a preventive alarm notification feature. The research was motivated by the need for an automatic monitoring system that not only displays environmental data but also provides early warnings as a form of preventive action. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), consisting of system design, hardware and software implementation, functional testing, and accuracy and response evaluation. The system was developed using a DHT22 sensor, ESP32 microcontroller, and the Blynk platform, and was integrated with a buzzer alarm and email notification system. The test results show that the system achieved an accuracy rate of 98.75% for temperature and 96.35% for humidity, and was able to automatically send warnings when environmental parameters exceeded the set thresholds. The addition of the preventive alarm notification feature is the novelty of this research, contributing to the development of a more efficient and responsive sheep farming management system that adapts to microclimate changes in real-time.
