Abstract
Transformasi digital dalam industri perbankan telah membawa perubahan signifikan terhadap pola layanan dan interaksi nasabah dengan bank. Banking hall yang semula berfungsi sebagai pusat aktivitas transaksi konvensional kini dituntut beradaptasi dengan hadirnya layanan digital yang lebih cepat, efisien, dan mandiri. Penelitian ini berfokus pada strategi desain adaptif dalam perancangan ruang banking hall untuk meningkatkan pengalaman nasabah, dengan studi kasus pada Bank BTN Kantor Cabang Bandung sebagai representasi penerapan konsep layanan digital di lingkungan perbankan nasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kombinasi pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pihak bank untuk memahami perspektif praktis, sedangkan data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada nasabah untuk mengukur persepsi terhadap kenyamanan, fleksibilitas, dan integrasi teknologi. Analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan SEM-PLS untuk memverifikasi keterkaitan antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep Smart Digital Store menjadi landasan utama strategi desain adaptif dengan lima prinsip pokok: inklusif, berpusat pada pengguna, berorientasi kenyamanan, fleksibel, dan terintegrasi teknologi. Prinsip-prinsip ini kemudian diterjemahkan ke dalam lima elemen desain adaptif, yaitu zonasi dan tata ruang, hirarki ruang dan pencapaian, elemen visual dan branding, elemen teknologi, serta elemen kenyamanan ruang. Implementasi elemen-elemen tersebut di Bank BTN KC Bandung terbukti mendukung efisiensi layanan, memperkuat identitas brand, serta meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman nasabah dalam ruang banking hall. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi desain adaptif merupakan pendekatan arsitektural yang relevan dan solutif untuk mendukung peran banking hall sebagai ruang fisik yang berfungsi selaras dengan layanan digital modern. The digital transformation in the banking industry has significantly changed service patterns and customer interactions. Banking halls, which previously functioned as the center of conventional transactions, are now required to adapt to the presence of digital services that are faster, more efficient, and self-service oriented. This study focuses on adaptive design strategies in the design of banking hall spaces to enhance customer experience, with a case study at Bank BTN Branch Office Bandung as a representation of digital service implementation within the national banking environment. The research method employed a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with bank representatives to explore practical perspectives, while quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to customers to measure perceptions of comfort, flexibility, and technology integration. Quantitative data were analyzed using SEM-PLS to verify the relationships between variables. The findings reveal that the Smart Digital Store concept serves as the main foundation of adaptive design strategies, represented by five key principles: inclusivity, user-centeredness, comfort orientation, flexibility, and technology integration. These principles are then translated into five adaptive design elements, namely zoning and spatial planning, spatial hierarchy and accessibility, visual and branding elements, technological elements, and comfort-oriented elements. The implementation of these elements at Bank BTN Branch Office Bandung proved to improve service efficiency, strengthen brand identity, and enhance the overall customer experience within the banking hall. Thus, this study confirms that adaptive design strategies represent a relevant and solution-oriented architectural approach to support the role of the banking hall as a physical space that complements modern digital banking services.
